I'm from Ontario, and despite travelling the world, I have never been to another province...lol. Go figure. So I can't really answer you. My boyfriend was on business last week in Manitoba and Saskatchewan; never mentioned anything. Then he got back from the Maritimes yesterday and said the people out there were VERY rude to him. But you can't generalize an entire province as being more rude than another...you will always go to one province and meet rude, b*tchy people, as well as nice, funny people. You just can't say. Maybe you're just biased to your own province.

I've lived in BC, AB and ON, and after reading some of the commenters here, I'm agree that BC'ers have the best sense of diplomacy, Albertans are a little bit wild but after all, are friendly, while living in Ontario, "different song" I currently live in Carleton Place, On. people here are very clean, no littering or ilegal dumping (as far as I've seen) but Ontarian's are not friendly at all, some (seems) they have a strong sense of entitlement. But (in general) Canadians in comparison with other countries are better educated and have (so much) better manners.

I believe it is just a matter of where you are! I have met some wonderful Canadians and some rather rude ones. I will have to take your word on the specifics of where they are from because I'm not as educated in this department as you.
I find that people from Canada are much more friendly, as of late, in comparison to my own country, America. They are better educated and have glorious manners! My daughters say the men are yummy, but I can't answer that on the grounds that my husband is yummy to me.
I will of course begin paying more attention in the future and ask what part of Canada they are from.
Have a great day!

Well if BCers have the best sense of diplomacy I guess you wouldn't have insulted an entire province of people on an open forum, especially with that high level of tolerance you're so proud of.

I think they're all hosers, eh? ;-)
Frankly, I found Ontarians to be very nice. And Quebecois the nicest of all -- but I speak French, so that probably helps...

There are some rude people everywhere, and some nice people everywhere. Please don't contribute to the already strained interprovincial relations by stereotyping people like this.
