I'm not particularly evil. It's just that we don't give religious superstition much respect. It really doesn't deserve any. To the religious people, that's evil.
Religions like to pretend that they invented morality. They, therefore, think all others are immoral. In reality, religion tends to make a person morally lazy. I've met many Christians who can't say why something is bad without just defaulting to "God said so".
In contrast, atheists tend to think about morality and develop more encompassing ones. If you ask an atheist why something is good or bad, you'll probably get a straight answer. You might not agree with it, but at least he can speak to the issue.
BTW, Christianity tends to be more communist. Jesus threw out the money-changers and gave to the poor, in the Bible. Atheists tend to span the political spectrum. Though, the ones in the US tend to be liberal because the Republicans are too in bed with the Religious Right.

I did not see the world in a negative way. I try to see the good in everyone and thing. Which has a tendency to get me in to trouble. As far as i am concerned. If the religious people know and have had to deal with, they see atheist as stupid and lost people. We are no better than those of a different religion. I am not saying all are like that. But for a person who claims to live by god. God said not to judge others. Yet they still seem to.
Once again I am not saying all religious people are that way.

I've never heard of Atheists being compared to Communists. I am an atheist and have suffered jabs from religious people but certainly not every religious person thinks I am evil. I don't belive Jesus was a Capitalist either. To sum up, Atheists should not be considered communists or evil, and Christians should not be capitalists or automatically be considered good.

> cult of reasoning dedicated to communism?
No. That's absurd. Communist government stamps out religion because of a political power struggle (or stranglehold).
> How is it that children are naturally born as agnostics but as they grow they must convert to X religion or they are dogmatic delinquents bound for communism and hell?
That is also B.S. Communism is not a religion, it is a failed collectivist political ideal.
What are you reading?

cThe only thing Christians have going for them is propaganda. They do not understand Atheism but they also don't understand Christianity. They have absolutely no proof that their beliefs have any foundation. They deal in mysticism and supposition. Communism sounds like something terrible so they seize on it as a proof positive. We must feel sorrow for their ignorance.
Read my new book, "Jesus-Myth or Reality?" It touches the baseless foundations on which all belief is founded. We must practice tolerance for the vast brainwashed majority out there who were captured at birth and never given a chance to learn truths. Ian Curtis

This is funny. We Christians are most certainly communist by definition. The fact that we are not communist today is actually sad. I know a church here in Perry Georgia that all live together in the same neghborhood and they got it going on. They are not snake charmers or anything just brothers and sisters in Christ. Atheist by definition are not at odds with Christians. They are non believers. Now the Atheist who say that their non belief is a belief and even use terms like Evangelical Atheist are not Atheist, they are AntiTheist. I dont believe in Space Aliens. it would be silly for me to start attacking UFO people because they do believe in UFO's. And you have to admit they "might" exist. I just haven't seen them yet.
May GOD richly bless you.

I have to disagree with you about kids being born agnostic and converted by their parents.
It's been my experience that children, especially the very young, percieve God in the most profound ways.
I think that's why the says we will be led by a child.
I don't think Atheists are evil. People are. No matter who or what any group claims to be, there will be bad apples. It is sad when we judge a whole group by their bad apples. All Christians are this... All Atheists are that... All Muslims are this... All Wiccans are that...
sad sad sad.

We are considered evil. dunno why. Maybe because the "believer consider themselves as "saved" or "pure".
I say Atheist are the only people who actually LIVE on the planet, not clouded by ignorance.
Atheist don't ATTACK anyone. But rather try to tell people to understand that there is no after life because we care for people to actually have a life, than being blinded by faith and belief that there will be a happy ending ones you die.
I have been attacked by believers, for saying I dont believe. I put up "I'm an Atheist" on my 360 profile. I got 10s of hate messages and challenging ones. I have tried to explain my view, but everyone is so outraged! "you can never explain your point of view to anybody. it is futile" "no wonder people call them sheep. you can never train a sheep twice, mindless"
Now I changed that profile to "I just elarned a great lesson" I learned that if the so called god wasnt ther, we would have much more peaceful planet. more people die in the name of religion than wars. I believe in Friendship and love. a true believer told me this "a friend is like a dollar" If i had a knife in my hand I would have stabbed her! My friends are everything to me. One even gave his life for my cousin!
"a friend is like a dollar" you call that belief? you call that the ways of christ? anyway, lets not spark up any more threads.
ANYONE feeling angry, please know that I support religion for providing security, love and peace. It is better to believe in a god that doesnt exist than looking at the blank wall while your relative is in the operation theater.
I prayed while my cousin was taken into surgery, even though I don't believe. I really hurts to know the truth, that there is only you between happiness and sorrow. not god.
The bible represents the dawn of the age of reasoning. Great book. Humans will go crazy if we dont have an answer to a question. so our mind makes up a reason. and a great mind drew up the outline of the bible, which was modified by a great line of thinkers.

I am Buddhist, and I don't suppress people... I respect any person as just a person. I don't care if the person is Christian, Muslim, Atheist, Hindu, etc... I only care for the person. In my eyes, everyone is equal, there shouldn't be any boundaries between them. We are all connected and bonded. What really makes us different besides personality and beliefs. Thoughts are different, we are all technically the same. We should respect one another, and we should put aside differences and see what we have in common. Isn't that the only thing we really need for peace?

You clearly don't know what an atheist is, you are defining yourself according to the Roman Catholic church's corruption of the term. Atheism is a religion in itself, with its own belief system, and they believe that actions on earth should be for the benefit of the world, not for the promise of heavenly delights.
