How can something so smart evolve out of something so dumb? Where did the intelligence come from if not from our " ancestors " ?

Now I know monkeys are not complete retards but compared to us they are.

You are quite right, similar contraditiction comes up when you compare monkeys with fish, and fish, fish with worms and worms with bacteria.

Better yet, compare a St.Bernard with a Toy Terrier - one is 10 times larger than another, no way they could have evolved from a common ancestor.

Well the first mistake is to actually believe evolution! The reason it doesn't make sense to you that you came from a monkey is because it just isn't true.

People will avoid that they have a responsibility to an almighty being (that's God) at any cost, even creating an imaginary solution to life itself (that's evolution) when everyone who has a brain knows that there was a creator (God) that made each one of us and everything around us.

Intelligence was given to us when we were created by God. Do you totally understand it, well know, but at least it's real and not an excuse to live out a life without responsibility to anyone or anything.

God created mankind at the top of the intelligence scale, just be greatful He did, and that you are not the monkey ok!

I don't know where you came from but you, me and everybody else on this planet did not evolve from monkeys or anything. Maybe you should read this thing called the Bible and maybe look in Genesis 1:1 that verse right there will tell you where all human life came from and then maybe read on and see when humans were created, ya created by God not evolved from monkeys...oh and to really prove my point I've studied a lot about evolution not to believe it but to show that it is false in its teachings. 1st look at all the "missing links" that they have missing between our so called ancestors and 2nd do you read articles written by evolutions that use words like "might be/have" and "to be believed as" or "could be" . They don't even know what is true they're just guessing on everything...The Bible is fact and either way if you believe in creationism or evolutionism they both require faith but I put my faith in God.

actually monkeys are quite smart. You may have evolved but not from monkeys. They are vegetarians they don't kill to eat.
They don't build a fence around a tree to keep other hungry monkeys from eating. They don't go to war and kill other monkeys. They are quite concerned when one gets hurt and try to help them. They never abandon their babies for someone else to raise. Some monkeys know sign language even though their vocal cords are not like the speach sounds that humans make they understand what the other one is saying.
They can by the sound they make tell the others if it is a panter coming or a human. If they are happy or mad. They do understand humans commands and feel love and affection.
They mate for life and are faithful to their mate.
They do not polute the planet with smog and because of them we are not having ecological problems.
They are just so much smarter than humans, maybe humans haven't evolved yet?

Here we go with the monkeys again-who ever said we evolved from monkeys? Misrepresentation of the facts however is the favourite weapon of the creationist.Do you need an explanation of how neurological growth occurs? Complex and repeated behaviour patterns stimulate synaptic activity in the brain which leads to the formation of neurones and increase in cognitive abilities. It then becomes a self perpetuating process and over millenia physiological changes in the brain ensue. Your objection provides no problems for evolution whatsoever. What you should be asking is why mankind and primates have the same enzyme deficiency that prevents them synthesising vitamin c. The answer is they shared a common ancestor.

We didn't evolve from monkeys. We share a common ancestor. This should be common knowledge to anyone with the slightest education on evolution. I'm going to assume that getting into evolution further will just be more then you can handle.

From this question, it's very obviously you know jack-all about evolution. We didn't come from the monkeys you see today or else those monkeys would be humans. We evolved from a monkey that, wait for it, evolved into what we are now! Wow, doesn't that make more sense, what we evolved from no longer exists because it's now us. Duh. And monkeys, compared to most other animals, are geniuses. As for our intelligence, well, that's sorta what evolution is all about, it didn't just pop into our heads all of a sudden. It evolved with us and grew with us, just like walking upright and losing our hairy backs (well, for most of us!) Evolution took millions of years, we can see in fossils and ancient remains of long lost human like creatures how we become what we are. Through interbreeding with other species and the natural laws that bind us all together we have evolved into what could be described as the last stage of life on earth. We've evolved to the point where we've created technology which is only going to hinder our natural evolution so that we will have no need for the further evolution of ourselves. At first the theory of evolution seems complex, but as you dive into it, you start to see in yourself and all the people around you how different we all are, and how evolution has created this difference. And when you start to see that, then it all just makes sense. Try to look into it with an open mind, like I once looked into religion. But alas, the basis of religion would forbid this, as chrisitians and other "god fearing" people are not aloud to remove themselves from their faith to explore other options. They will forever be bound to an idea whose very existence frightens them, and whose rules forbid any advancment of the human mind.

Chimpanzees and Bonobos, the closest thing alive to our ancestors, are not "monkeys." They are apes. And they are not "dumb."

They make tools, can communicate in symbolic languages using their hands or computer keyboards. They can be taught to understand English, paint pictures, and use just about any household tool. Indeed, the sign language speaking gorilla, Koko, scored 85 on an IQ test. That's only a few points shy of the President of the United States.

Granted, ape intelligence is different from ours. Language ability is much, much more acute among humans. Our tool making abilities have improved, as have the agility of our hands so that we can make them. We have developed certain forms of altruism that one generally does not see among apes, and have taken abstract thought further.

But the whole idea of evolution is that some creatures develop enhanced abilities in order to cope with the environmental pressures they experience. So - yes - one would expect to find improvements in human beings over our ancestors. Since our ancestors began to specialize in language and tool making, requiring improved mental faculties, it should not surprise that we find those skills improved in our day and age, vis as vis the other apes.

Not as smart as humans? Ummm I am not so sure about that. The Bible declares that if we do not praise the LORD, the rocks and the hills will praise HIM. If the rocks will praise the LORD, then I am sure even monkeys have their own way of praising their creator...and if they do....I would say that makes those monkeys smarter then those who say there is no GOD.

If it took millions of years for things to "evolve" then life would have died off waiting to evolve. Things do not get better with time...they decay.

I don't believe in evolution, but those who do will probably argue that we didn't evolve from "monkeys" but from some other species and that our intelligence came through our evolution process, which was separate from that of monkeys.

You think monkeys are dumb. Have you considered what if you were to go into the jungles and live like they do? They have the intelligence that is required for their survival in their environment just as humans do. Apes are very intelligent and can be taught human responses and can understand some of our language. All animals are intelligent as required for their needs.
