Why do shite muslims like the people from Iran and much of Iraq and some other places beleive that men can have "temporary wives" for as little as 24 hours. How is this any different from the kind of random sex they condemn the west for (with considerable justification, I think)? I'm told the prophet said it was so men on wars or business trips wouldn't have to go without sex. Is this true?

Why do muslims lie and say that the head scarf protect muslim women against rape? why do muslim women think it is a form of respec ? why do muslims lie and say that western female dress make them more likly to be raped? In the deeply muslim country of Pakistan the Pakistani human rights commitee , who draws its staff from only muslims has found this:

"The issue of the offence of rape has become a matter of concern for the (Pakistani) civil society. The annual report of 2002 of the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan dealing with violence against women shows that 'one woman is being raped in every two hours and one woman is gang raped in every eight hours in Pakistan'. And most of the cases go unreported because of social taboos and the stigma that wretched act carries against a woman. This is an appalling situation and calls for some immediate remedial steps to better the situation."
just when yopu think it cant get any worse how about being whipped because you were raped?

I don't actually believe that, but growing up in a fanatical Catholic household, it kept me up alot of nights. "Freewill" is not an answer either, because it's not freewill if you exercise it and are punished for making the wrong choice.

every time I see a child abuse case on the news, when a white person does it, it's an irish, english or scottish man. I never hear about other kinds of white ppl doing it, like german, norwegian, italian, russian, etc. Is it b/c they drink a lot and can't tolerate alcohol as well as other ppl?

DISCLAIMER:
I am NOT saying ALL irish ppl hit their kids and wifes. just out of the ones that do.

isn't it rational thinking to come to the conclusion that there is a God due to the fact that if the earth were any farther from the sun or the sea levels any different life could not go on rather then thinking rational by saying that everything came from one micro organism which is unknown to us where that came from is it rational thinking to entrust into a theory pardon my language/grammar..

I manage about 20 people - too many of whom are teenagers. Some days are great and some workers are great - this is the rewarding part of the job, but does anyone else just get burned out by the people they manage sometimes? They have no idea how draining it can be to put up with all their drama and excuses...
Please somebody, tell me you deal with this feeling too on occasion.

by religious figures for disproving religion, should we start jailing religious figures for trying to disprove logic?

I mean, according to reality there is no such thing as a bearded pixie living in the clouds. And if you don't obey his rules, you're going to be tossed into a fire pit. That's right. Getting prodded in the behind for eternity by a half man/half goat with hooves and horns.

that just because your religion or faith is right for you it might not be right for another.
i keep hearing christians using this exsample... if you saw a person drowning would you not help? well what if that person is not drowning and only swimming differently than you? we don't all swim the same way so why do we all have to worship the same?

if you believe a certain way and that way is good for you then thats great. but please don't belittle and condem others beliefs if it works for and is good for them. you don't have to like it ...just accept it.

Most blond guys are very private, and have had bad experiences by giving out their name. I have this lifetime goal to meet a blond guy who is not ditsy, self absorbed, fun loving like me and not afraid to make friends (like me). Being gay or not is not the issue, but finding any blond guy is the issue. I can love anyone.

We were out with friends Fri. night at a 'high end' very classy restaurant and we noticed a couple seated near us. The woman was talking on her cell phone nearly the whole time and her 'date' looked very sad and forlorn. We all agreed it was very rude of her. Also, we tried to ignore her and get back to our own conversations but, she was loud and sometimes drowned us out. This was an expensive night out and she wasn't giving her 'date' any attention. And I don't care who was footing the bill. We still all thought she was rude. What do you think?

I mean, we all know what religions are. We all have a chapel or church near home (at least those of us who live in cities). If we had a religious need, we'd know exactly where to go. So what's the use for the main religions (Christianity in Occident, and so on) to add an evangelising work? Can't you assume those who aren't there have actually chosen not to be there?
