In a young girl's heart
How the music can free her
Whenever it starts

And it's magic
If the music is groovy
It makes you feel happy like an old time movie

I'll tell ya about the magic
It'll free your soul
But it's like trying to tell a stranger 'bout rock 'n' roll

If you believe in magic, don't bother to choose
If it's jug band music or rhythm and blues
Just go and listen
It'll start with a smile
It won't wipe off your face no matter how hard you try
Your feet start tapping
And you can't seem to find
How you got there
So just blow your mind

Do you believe in magic?
Come along with me
We'll dance until morning, just you and me
And maybe, if the music is right
I'll meet ya tomorrow
So late at night

We'll go a dancin' baby then you'll see
All the magic's in the music and the music's in me, yeah

Do you believe in magic? Yeah.
Believe in the magic in a young girl's soul
Believe in the magic of rock 'n' roll
Believe in the magic that can set you free
Oh, talkin' 'bout magic

Do you believe like I believe?
Do you believe in magic?

I consider in esoteric/occult magic. And I consider, however cannot end up that it has an lifestyles external of the geographical regions of psychology. ie I think spells don't want the recipient to consider within the lifestyles of magic, handiest that the caster believes it's going to paintings. If you assert in any other case provide an explanation for how climate magic, and different spells which have an impact on that which might be as a rule looked as if it would be "inanimate tactics" paintings? Statement pronouncing the recipient has to consider as good because the caster, might imply that the elements has to consider in magic! Think a difficult difference among magic being defined as white or black misses plenty out. As I think magic is just a software, and as a consequence does not have any intrinsic alignment. A blade will also be positioned to a well use (surgical procedure), nevertheless it may also be positioned to a foul use (stabbing any one) It's handiest the rationale/results of it is use that would be found to be black or white. Even then the phrases black/white are more and more being visible as non-PC, and are regularly changed with the phrases bad and optimistic. --- A lot of what Wheatly talks approximately is conveniently a pile of "headline grabbing" garbage tying into peoples preconceived strategies. Perhaps attempt to see the 1971 movie "Simon King of The Witches" (although the magic proven is commonly the not often practised mesmerism) Also might be attempt to see Haxan (1922) for a only physiological rationalization (which could also be the mannequin which Freud built which reconed Multiple Sclerosis is physco-somatic, without a bodily foundation! We recognize higher now)

Well, yes. I am an eclectic Pagan, and we do practice magic, particularly charging stones and controlling life energy. My girlfriend is an eclectic Pagan who studies with a Wiccan group, so she knows other kinds of magic, too...

But magic isn't the sort of thing it often gets portrayed as. It is very, very difficult and its effects are subtle. Everyone has the power to use magic, but not everyone has the mindset or desire to do it. Using magic doesn't mean you can shoot lasers out of your eyes and fly and stuff; it means you can ward yourself and others, and give them protections. Essentially, you protect someone by charging a stone-- different stones have different protective qualities-- and giving it to that person. In Wicca, there are also some hexes to learn, but they're frowned upon, and I think if a Wiccan coven caught you hexing someone, you'd be reprimanded or kicked out.
