I mean, we all know what religions are. We all have a chapel or church near home (at least those of us who live in cities). If we had a religious need, we'd know exactly where to go. So what's the use for the main religions (Christianity in Occident, and so on) to add an evangelising work? Can't you assume those who aren't there have actually chosen not to be there?

Yeah I know. And all the people who hang out here just to answer every question with "JESUS CHRIST IS YOUR LORD AND REDEEMER!"; (also in the science section sometimes) what's the point of that? I already *know* they think that, the more I hear it the more it annoys me, and that's the only effect.

And all the pseudo-proofs too. Ultimately nothing they believe is provable, it's up to each person if they want to just swallow it anyway, or not believe it. And we know where the churches are cos they've got githuge pointy roofs on. The reason we're not there isn't cos nobody invited us personally.

Actually, I have encountered many people in the States who do not have much notion at all what Christians believe. I am not evangelistic either. These issues just come up after a while. The presence of a church in your part of the city does not imply anything about what you do or do not know. And, frankly, there are many people who think they know a lot about religion but are rather misinformed. In fact, missionaries are being sent from Columbia to Miami to teach. Then again, I study religion academically, so I might look for more precision than others.

Do all the Muslims and Mosques in America necessarily imply that Americans know much about Islam?

What's the use of 'spreading the word'

If you re-read what you wrote you will have the answer you seek.

Everyone who is a religious person, that is, is part of a religious order, is not necessarily a true Christian.

They put religion before Jesus Christ which breaks the First Commandment.

Religion and Christianity are like water and oil. The two, if shaken together will separate in a few minutes. They do not get along well together.

The reason we true Christians are commissioned by Jesus Christ to spread the Good News is not all the world has accepted Jesus Christ and have been saved.><>

because churches do not work from the seat of god.

there's is taking away the truth about the gift of Free Will which God has given , that is what Life is all about.

Free Will. Not the churches will.

By individuals decideing there next moments , they use there free will.

yet those whom act out of fear (like those whom do not accept others for not going to church), they choose to lose the sight of God, by encouraging that there is no free will.

Yes, the majority of people already know about Christianity, but there are circumstances in which that person won't go to church. People go out to evangalize to help convince them in the nicest way possible to come to church or to accept Jesus as their personal savior. Our church goes to San Francisco and evangalizes to the homeless, and the youth group goes out to local hang out spots to talk to the kids about coming to the youth group.

No, it doesn't always work, but it puts it in their minds that there are people who are willing to accept them into their church family. They don't even think about going to church, and yes, some of them have actually chosen not to be there.

It is the same as advertising - no business is going to simply assume that people who are not buying from them never would. So different religions reach out for new members.

Also, it helps the existing members learn more and feel good.

It's because they want everyone to share their opinons on god. Also they think everyone should have belief. Although people are perfectly fin w/o it in their life. It's mostly the ist religons aka: Baptist and exc. that do junk like that. Because, they want everyone to have the same beliefs as theirs. Non-belivers apparently die and don't get into heaven according to them. Their soulution: get everyone to believe. So, they decide that since not everyone is going to willingly come to them they must go out and bring them into their belief.

We are commissioned to spread the Gospel. We offer invitations, not an arm twist. All you are asked to do is make a simple decision, either a yes or a no.

Exactly. If you try to play god it's not going to work. People have to decide for themselves. trying to talk them into something they don't want to hear will only make things worse for them.
