I find this rather insulting. I have a commercial sized ice maker that would be able to fit in my hotel room. All I would need is for them to take the hinges off the door and for them to help me carry it up the stairs. I was planning on paying for five nights and I like making my own ice but the girl on the phone said no. I usually don't stay in motels but I need to go for job interviews out of state. I'm just so peeved.

Job 9:7 (King James Version)
7(God), Which commandeth the sun, and it riseth not; and sealeth up the stars.

If God wanted to stop the 'sunrise' he would have to 'command' the Earth to stop moving, not the Sun.

I specifically told my son's teacher in September I didn't want him celebrating Halloween or doing activities with witches or vampires in them (I'm not pagan or wiccan, so why push that on him?) and then I find out she's reading these books every day (Strega Nona is a witch, and there's an entire series on her). My son loves reading, and I think he could read about something other than witches and people like Strega Nona or Harry Potter! I'm tired of public schools pushing their humanism or occult-friendly views on my kids. I'm ready to call the principal at this point, because I already made my feelings clear at the beginning of the year. Comments from parents with similar convictions?

These books were written hundreds of years ago by men inspired by god and, while they contain a great deal of good advice in so much as how mankind should live, there's an awful lot that's unacceptable, such as animal sacrifice, warring against those who don't believe, and a complete lack of women's rights. Isn't it time we had something a bit more universal and peaceful? Couldn't we have some of the greatest representatives of all religions, non-religious people included, to create a global book of life? Would various religious believers, yourself included, follow such a lifeplan?

c'mon it'll be fun. we can be just like Jesus. we can teach those atheists what Jesus was all about. we can go door to door quoting scripture from the holy bible. it's a chance to get some non believers on board.

I work at a sub place. People place their orders at the counter, sit down, and we bring it out to them. There's a tip jar on the counter. This women's soccer team came in today. (About 30 plus their coach, who paid for everything) They gave no advance warning that they were coming. Luckily, we had 3 extra people working. We had all their orders taken and served in under 15 minutes. He left us no tip at all.

Most people who come do leave tips. After all, we do serve them, even if we don't wait on their tables.
