why would anyone be against jesus getting married to mary magdaline. She was a beautiful person and marriage is not a sin at all . I love jesus christ so much but if it would have made him happy to marry her I would be happy for them. He deserves the love of a wife that we all have the chance to get.

THIS ACTUALLY HAPPENED TODAY

My professor loaned me a few of her textbooks so I could do some research this weekend. I was getting really distracted at home, so I decided to use my annual pass for the zoo and go study there. It was really busy but there weren't many people by the hippo area, so I set up there with my books, notepad, pens, etc. I had only been studying for a few minutes when a hippo came right in front of me and pooped. It wasn't a big deal because the poop was behind the wire fence. However, remember that hippos don't use toilet paper. What I didn't know was that hippos also mark their territory. Shortly after pooping (and not wiping), this particular hippo chose to mark her territory. Out of her "nether" regions came a huge spray of yuckiness, PLUS all the poop that was still hanging out in that area. It covered me AND the textbook I was studying from!

Don't know if this is worth 5 points but...

I am clearly just an embittered and twisted male, but it seems to me that these days women clearly feel that they have the absolute right to be sexist - so many answers on this site, for example, are anti-male sexist. On the other hand, if men dare to be sexist then their lives are over - they are drummed out of their jobs, sued to the hilt, ostracised, etc.

OK, so I am exaggerating, but you know what I mean. These days, for example, MEN are represented as stupid, venal, banal, sex objects in adverts, WOMEN as sophisticated, successful, etc.

At any rate, this should provoke some response...

As a part of a culture exchange I will be attending church services at an LDS stake tomorrow. I am female and unsure of what to wear. I know I have to wear a dress or skirt and I assume it should be "modest" but what lenght are we talking here? Ankle, between the knee and ankle? I'm totally lost and I don't want to offend my classmate or anyone at the service. Thanks.

Not all Asians because I am one. I dont like the Asian culture, the way they always study so hard not have no social skills. Most Asian men dont have the guts to go up and talk to a beautiful hispanic woman. They can't take any jokes and are way to serious. I can say this because I was raised by Asian people.

Hi!

I have been going to a Luthern Church with a friend of mine for a couple of weeks now. I was thinking about joining the church (going to classes, etc.). However, I have one small problem, the Apostles' Creed... or actually, the part which says that Jesus descended into hell...

"I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord.
He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit
and born of the Virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended into hell.
On the third day he rose again."

I grew up Christian (non-denominational) and I have never heard of that before. I'm not saying that it's not true, I just need to see it in the scripture to believe it. If it is in the Bible, then I believe it.

So... do any of you know where it says in the Bible that Jesus descended into hell after he was crucified?

Jesus was Jewish. So if you guys believe in Jesus shouldnt you believe in Jesus's religion which was Judaism??

I know of Jewish rituals. Sabatth is one of them. I hope I spelled it right. I am not Jewish , but love everything that has to do with rituals. If you read the whole Bible, it feels as if God has made self ajustments, perhaps for our own good, basically God is pefection, and we are weak.

I took my daughters for portraits today, but our portrait session was interrupted because a lady that showed up 20 minutes late for her kid's appointment was throwing a fit wanting to get her pictures done so I volunteered to take a break and let them snap her pictures for her- being polite- which I know is unheard of these days. After we resumed our portrait session the photographer wanted to charge me for TWO setting fees because her computer counted it as two because we paused then resumed and I refused to pay for the second one. The photographer made some comment about how I shouldn't have had the kids' pictures taken if I wasn't willing to pay for them. I called her supervisor and complained and they gave me a certificate for a free setting fee next time around, although considering I paid for two today when I shouldn't have had to, I don't really feel that is enough compensation for the photographers rudeness considering I did THEM a favor by allowing them to interrupt my session
