Well...true Muslims do not call Jesus a liar...and they do (to a degree) honor him as a prophet. What they do avidly dispute is the veracity of the Bible. They believe it has been tampered with and is corrupt.

Essentially, Muslims believe that each prophet returns people to the "way"...to God...but then, through time, the people wander astray...the "way" is lost...and scripture becomes "corrupt". When this happens (they say), God sends another prophet to "fix" things...sort of.

The difference between Mohammed and ALL the prophets before him...is that Muslims believe Muhammed is the great FINAL prophet....the prophet of prophets...and that the Quaran is the last revelation of God...and they believe that the Quaran is perfect...and that the Bible has been corrupted through time.

Therefore, they esteem the Quaran a holy book, pure, and perfect to essentially replace all the other corrupted old stuff....and they esteem Muhammed chief among all prophets. They respect and honor all previous prophets...but they believe most of what they said and did (including Jesus) has been corrupted by OTHERS.

This all being said, just as all supposed "Christians" have views ranging from one extreme to the other, so do Muslims. However, the mature and faithful and reasonable/rational Muslims I know hold to what I said above (more or less).

Unfortunately, they are deceived...and Islam is truly an evil religion that strikes hardest at the essential doctrines of true salvation.

Jesus was a prophet! But He was also a king...and a priest. More than this, He was God in the flesh. Only through the atoning sacrifice of a PERFECT (holy, blameless, sinless) Lamb could God forgive sins without being guilty of being unjust in allowing ANYONE to go to heaven.

For, we all have sinned...and justly deserve to go to hell.
=

Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light...and when Muhammed "received" his "revelation" from an "Angel", it was none other than a fallen angel who duped him...

And now...millions are being duped into such deception...and it is leading them straight to hell. It is a very sad estate, but God is moving in power in the areas of the world held captive by such lies...and He is opening the eyes of the blind.

But I have digressed from the answer to your question!
;)

They dont say Jesus was just a man. They say Jesus was a prophet of God, sent to guide the Jews, so that any deviation that may have happened after Moses is re-addressed by the new prohet of God, i.e. Jesus. They do not say Jesus faked his death. We are told that God raised Jesus into heaven, and will be brough back down before the day of Judgment to fight against "anti-christ" or "dajal" as muslims call him. At the time when God took Jesus to heaven, the roman soldiers were going into the house looking to arrest and kill Jesus, God changed the appearance of the first Roman soldier who went in, into a Jesus lookalike, and took his "speech" out. This is what muslims believe. In fact, you will find numerous evidences from Bible saying that Jesus did not say a word while he was being tortured to death. Apart from his last statement of "Oh God, why did you forsake me".... Which is an insult to Jesus. Why would a prohpet of God, who performed such vast miracles say such an evil accusation towards God. He would have clearly been considered an apostate if he had said that. They dont say Mohamed is better then all the other prophets simply because he is a prophet of God sent to address the whole world, rather then address a specific nation. True God does not need a son, or a mohamed or anyone else in that matter. He truly is self sufficient. Yet, the claims that Jesus was the son of God are retarded. If you look at the bible history you will find that ideas such as "Trinity" have only come 300 years after Jesus, by Paul the polytheists who used to torture christians, and when he found out that his torture was of no avail, he decided to become a christian and bring his polyethistic belifs and mix them with christianity. No muslims will ever tell you that Mohamed wrote the Koran. Koran came down in a form of peotry and for the first few years it only existed as poetry in the memory of the prophet and its companions who memorised it. It was later put in a text from by the companions of the prophet. Koran has millions of copies, and yet not even one of them differs from each other, not even a little letter or a paragraph. There are many versions of Bible today, some modern ones even claim that "God loves gays". Koran has no scientific inaccuracies, and in fact some of its verses can only be classed as scientific miracles. Compare that to the Bible. Can you not see the difference? You are truly blind then. Abu Bakr, the best friend of Prophet mohamed said, and the day the prophet died. "He who worshiped mohamed, let him know mohamed is dead. He who worshiped God, let him know God is eternal"

Muslims don't call Jesus a liar. Jesus never taught that he was God or the son of God. That is a concept that came years after Jesus (pbuh) died. Jesus (pbuh) preached that there is only ONE God and that we should worship him alone, and thats what Muslims believe. We honor and respect Jesus (pbuh) as a prophet and we believe in his TRUE message; which was the same message that every other prophet came with!!!

Gospel According to Saint Luke
Chapter 8

5 The sower went out to sow his seed. And as he sowed, some fell by the way side, and it was trodden down, and the fowls of the air devoured it.

6 And other some fell upon a rock: and as soon as it was sprung up, it withered away, because it had no moisture. 7 And other some fell among thorns, and the thorns growing up with it, choked it. 8 And other some fell upon good ground; and being sprung up, yielded fruit a hundredfold. Saying these things, he cried out: He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. 9 And his disciples asked him what this parable might be. 10 To whom he said: To you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God; but to the rest in parables, that seeing they may not see, and hearing may not understand.

11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. 12 And they by the way side are they that hear; then the devil cometh, and taketh the word out of their heart, lest believing they should be saved. 13 Now they upon the rock, are they who when they hear, receive the word with joy: and these have no roots; for they believe for a while, and in time of temptation, they fall away. 14 And that which fell among thorns, are they who have heard, and going their way, are choked with the cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and yield no fruit. 15 But that on the good ground, are they who in a good and perfect heart, hearing the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit in patience.

Muslims hold every Prophet in equal honor.

When Jesus said, "I and my Father are one" (John 10:30), he was simply saying that he and the Father work and think alike, and that to deal with one is to deal with the other.

Muslims don't believe in Jesus. They beleive in Allah and the prophet Mohammad. Jesus is a Christian belief. You might be thinking of the Jewish faith that follows a similar path than Christianity but does not acknolwledge Jesus as being anything special. If you know have heard a muslim say they love Jesus they are either just trying to show they are tolerant of other religions or aren't muslim.

when did any Muslim call Jesus (pbuh) that?!!! Jesus (pbuh) didn't write the Bible, other people did and they are the LIARS.

but instead of pointing fingers like little kids how about we learn how to respect each other and leave religion to God and he'll Judge between us?!!!

and we honor ALL the Prophets that includes Jesus (pbuh) in Muslim Countries there's something called RESPECT for religions. the Davinci code was BANNED in ALL Muslim countries and people Muslims/Christians protested.

you can clearly see that the problem is not with Muslims but indeed with non Muslims here in the west. Jesus (pbuh) gets insulted every day and YOU Christians let it happen.

don't blame us for standing up for our Beliefs. it's your duty to stand up for yours as well.

peace.

We do love & honor Jesus (PBUH). He is one of our most beloved prophets. No, we do not believe he is the son of God, or God. We do not have all the same beliefs as Christians, but our own, that is why we are called Muslims, not Christians.
