Yes, In the US, almost all the states go on what we call daylight savings time. Spring forward, fall back. I hate it. Looking forward to tonight when the time will be back to normal. (We will gain our hour back beginning at midnight.) I am on central standard time. We also have mountain, pacific, and eastern standard time.
Nice to hear from someone in the UK. Love that country.

Many places outside the tropics practise Daylight Saving. We do, here in New Zealand (we went forward on Oct 1), and so do most states of Australia (not QLD or NT).

I live in Western Australia and even though we voted against daylight saving years ago, we are about to alter our clocks early next month.

Yes, spring forward, fall back. We're turning our clocks back late tonight (Sat) in the US of A :)
P.S. Every year at work, it's like: spring forward? spring back? fall back? fall forward? lol.....I have to listen to the news to make sure!
