We are doing a youth sermon in a couple of weeks. This is the topic I am covering. I'm just not real sure how we do know the Bible is the truth. Please help, or give suggestions where I can find solid evidence to prove the Bible is truth.

The reason that life sucks for the AmericanBorn Chinese Male living in the USA is the following:
1. pretty asian women likes white guys, not chinese guys
2. pretty asian women likes white guys due to media influences that white is good and masculine, and that chinese male is bad and feminine
3. even though chinese males get high marks in academic life, it does not translate into to the best jobs in management and CPA firms because of lack of acceptance of social skills and attitudes as seen by the white corporate structure
4. white college students go threw college having a good time partying, drinking, going on spring break, cheat on exams, and just enjoying a great social life, and at the end do get a good job regardless of what grades they show. On the other hand, Chinese males get better academic marks from hard work, little to no parties, and little social life relatively speaking, and don't get great jobs. The list continues but no more space to write.

When I was in the military a few years ago, I was friends with Africans wherever I was stationed. But I found that if I went to Africa, I would never be allowed to live in Ghana, South Africa, Ethiopia, or anywhere because I am "akata".

I'm of the belief that if your home has more culture and religious practices in it, that teenagers will be too busy playing the piano, horseback riding, studying foreign languages, to even think about it, let alone want it. My daughter says I'm naive, and my 16 yr old g'daughter has a boyfriend who "lays" with her in her bedroom, right under my daughter's nose...and she says she HAS to allow it, or else they will find another way. I just don't believe this way has to be ... at all. What do you all think?
Am I being 'stuffy' and naive? Of course I wouldn't opinionize to her or them, but I just want to know what the more of society thinks, so I'm putting it up to the group here to tell me what society is about in 2006.

In the last 6 months or so I have noticed, mostly from the corner of my eye or the rearview mirror of my car, passersby turning and staring as I go by.
For the qick answers out there --- no I am neither extraordinarily ugly or handsome and have no particular demeanor. Most of the time I have a pleasant expression on my face.
The looks I receive are, for the most part, from strangers who think they might have seen me before. It is almost as if they know that I know something they don't.
I am usually very observant and know this has only started happening since my spiritual awakening.
Has this happened to anyone else?

when you read Isaiah 10-14 you will see what I mean

Again the LORD spoke to Ahaz, 11 "Ask the LORD your God for a sign, whether in the deepest depths or in the highest heights."

12 But Ahaz said, "I will not ask; I will not put the LORD to the test."

13 Then Isaiah said, "Hear now, you house of David! Is it not enough to try the patience of men? Will you try the patience of my God also? 14 Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.

According to the scripture above Isaiah is saying to Ahaz that God will give you a sign. If Ahaz lived hundreds of years before the birth of Jesus then how can the verse possibly be talking about him?

this is shown to be even more of a problem when Isaiah 8: 3-8

decribes the birth of this child...

so again how can Isaiah 7:14 be refering to Jesus?
