When more than 99.9% of the time they havent bothered to read the whole thing so they can see how it all fits together. More than likely they've just heard, read or saw bits and peices here and there?

Luke 8:10-And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand.

1 Corinthians 4:1-Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God.

Non-believers, dont get mad at us (christians) becuase God chooses to speak in mystery or ways that arnt easily understood without faith.Christians are just the messangers, not the message sender.

I have a chronic mental illness. I may get better with time, but it will never go away. I am struggling to come to terms with this.

I know there are still many people out there who do not consider mental illness a medical disease, but I am here to tell you that, yes, it is, so get over it and don't bring those opinions into this, they don't help.

Having said that, I wonder how many people out there with chronic illnesses such as diabetes, asthma, and metal ilnesses have worked past being angry and asking "why me?"

I am personally just entering this stage and I don't like it. I don't like feeling angry all the time. My official diagnosis is Major Depression, and I have long ago confronted the idea of having a mental illness. However, I have only just started to face the whole concept of it never going away.

Any advice?

Why do you people who are against religion constantly mock and insult it as if the religion itself is a horrible thing?

Name me one organization in the world that does not have corruption? You cant can you, because the world is lead by humans, we are ignorant creatures.

Yet its you who let the people who corrupt religion as a means to hold it against the religion itself. Is this not an unfair attack on religion? Name me one thing wrong with the core message of many major religions and you have an argument. Who am I to stop the corruption, I am not accountable for those who destroy my religion, I am accountable for me. Just like you need to stop worrying about everyone else. Check yourself, look in the mirror and realize the only one I can hold accountable is me.

So attacking religion because some morons interpret it wrongfully is a cop out for your real underlying motive, rejecting the possibility of God all together.

He makes some pretty forward and pretencious statements like "Pick up your cross and follow me" and "I am THE way, THE truth, and THE light. No one gets to the Father except through Me."

I think though I'll allow this ego to go by when it comes to God. After all, He's all knowing and all powerful, so I think He's pretty much the only one who can really throw His weight around by comparisson.

The CPT just asked how anyone could wake up one morning and say "I know everything." My best answer to that is the only way anyone can do that is if they are God. That's why I put my trust in Him and His word.

In conclusion, given his might and power I think God is the only one with any claim to an ego. Maybe that's why He wants us to be humble? To say that we are anything but humble before God would just be a lie.

What do you think?

This statement was made by a fundmentalist on the site fstdt.com. His comment is in regards to a quote made by Benjamin Franklin,

'I will not agree with your words, but fight to the death to allow you to speak them.'

Jusy wondering how many people who practice religious faith believe that if I don;t have anything nice to say about god, that my right to free speech should be stripped from me. Also do you believe that only insane crazy people would fight to allow all people of all opinions to be able to express those opinions.

Or do you think this guy is just crazy?

Seriously, you carry around this silly "holy" bible and yet you never seem to finish it, whats the deal? Do you need someone to read it too you, oh right I forgot you have someone do that every sunday for your entire life!

It doesn't seem this book is working out for you, maybe you should move on to a new book you can finish and take back your sundays

Could you recommend a website or something where I can find free Spanish stories - something simple, maybe kiddies stories? I've done an online beginner's course and will keep moving through those, but they are so very restricted in terms of vocab. I'm really sick of saying 'I have 5 pesos, how many pesos do you have?' I don't have time for an evening class, and unfortunately I don't know any Spanish speakers who could help me learn/practise the language. Think reading might be my best shot. I'd appreciate any advice/ideas/recommendations. Gracias :-)

That there's always a balance in life and everything. And in every person, and event and life in general. For everything bad, there is something good. And for everything good, there is something bad.

I have never been in a bar or tavern any where that did not have a mirror situated behind the bar. So there must be some reason and beginning to this practice. I'm looking for details here...it's a pretty good conversation piece.

so i am a practicing christian, southern baptist living in salt lake city utah. i know a lot about the mormon religion and i knwo what they belive, what their books say and what their "prophets" teqach. so here is what im wondering... do u think it is a cult? or did some guy really "see" god and read gold plates out of a dark hat... twice... and it be different both times but still have followers? is it of god to not allow everyone into their church? is it of god to belive the exact opposite of what the bible says? and do you think mormons are christians? and if so, will they get to heaven just be being "good" people or do u think they still need to accept christ into their heart?
