No, and I don't the the ascended master Jesus wants to be worshipped, either. I think he was trying to show and teach us something (that we could do everything he did), not have a religion founded after him.

Not sure what you mean by "a self-realized master".
Jesus is the Eternal God, one with the Father, the "ancient of days".
You say "If .... Jesus was alive today"
What "IF"? As the first-century Christians testified: Jesus was crucified, dead, and buried. The third day He rose from the dead. He ascended into Heaven and is seated at the place of highest honour. As in "The Revelation", He is "alpha and omega", He is the "First and the Last", He is the "A & the Z"; He is the one who was dead and, behold, is alive forevermore.
Would He want to be worshipped?
Well, just read of one of His post-resurrection appearances .... when Thomas recognized Him, Thomas worshipped him, acclaiming "My Lord and My God". Does your Bible say that Jesus declined such worship ... as did the disciples and apostles ... or did Jesus say "Because thou hast seen me, Thomas, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen and have believed. "

yes he would, because Jesus knows the greatest Joy in the world will be thorugh worship of Himself... it would be unloving to withhold it and let people focus on something less that cannot satify
He's what makes heaven heaven!!!
its not just our Joy... its for His as well
"for the Joy set before Him he endured the cross"
the desires of man and the glory of God meet perfectly in Heaven thanks to the work of Jesus on the cross where the great adventure will be getting to know him better and better and honor God by enjoying it totally!!!!
I diagree about the no ego thing.... the thing that makes God tick and the reason He even made the world is GODS GLORY
see the books God's Passion for God's Glory by John Piper and The End for Which God Created the World ny Jonathan Edwards

well maybe I'm weird but I find it fascinating how you can so obviously see the difference between those who understand what you mean, and those who don't.
as said, I do not think Jesus intended to be worshipped or seen as more divine.
but he shouldn't have missed that weekend Seminar with Buddha called "how to avoid being worshipped, while delivering your message" ;-)
I also find it disturbing how many people think he intended to be worshipped....

He wanted us to love He who sent Him. Our heavenly Father. Worshipping Jesus, is a way of believing in God. They are one in the same.
But no, He seemed to want to teach us to love each other, more than be "worshipped".:o]

No, Jesus demanded no worship. In fact, no Creator demands worship. That's what demons do.

Jesus was the Son of the Living God and was fully God. He was not some "self-realized master" nonsense.

No. Just b/c I can imagine him being really stressed out with all the requests people would make asking for cures to cancers, aids, other ailments. Problems of the world too.

No I think he would want to guide others on the path to enlightenment but only if they freely chose to follow his teachings.
