When I first came out of surgery it felt like the worst sore throat of my life - it was bad - but this did not last very long at all. It eased into a mild sore feeling for about 2 and a half days, and I agree that drinking lots of water will help. Don't drink anything carbonated. Make sure you discuss your concern with the doctor and they can give you medication for pain to take home with you.

Know the asteroid wellhead tonsil stones them for many years and it's been title not eventually.

Best decision I've ever made! I was shocked by the way of getting out the stones out. It was so easy, but more importantly, painless. I really liked the little trick he had for preventing gag reflex. He have one happy customer here.

your predicament sounds just like mine was. i had my tonsils and adnoids out not quite a year ago and it sucked i went thru natural child birth and that was a lot better. I took me a week and a half to get my voice back and another 3 weeks b4 i could eat decent food. I still have problems with sore throats but it has gotten a little better. drink lots of ice water and chew on ice chips ice cream and popcicles dont help rite away because they burn and you get really rauchy breath but cant use mouth wash because it burns really bad

My daughter had hers out when she was 22 and it really wasn't bad....she had a little soreness for a few days. But after a week or so, she was fine. Some mild pain pills like Tylenol worked well for her. But if your pain threshold is not as high, then you might opt for something stronger. Just follew the doctors orders, and you will be fine......Good Luck !!!

i had to get them out at 28 because of too many serious strep infections.......it was pretty horrible......couldn't eat anything real for about 6 wks..........the pain was not what i remember as being the worse part they give you plenty of meds for this (liquid of course) ......its just a very weird feeling........and the not being able to eat part......i lost about 20 lbs........they burn them out now so when you wake up your breath smells like burning hair or something...... and you can hardly talk.....i had a couple episodes of bleeding when the scabs came off ...that was pretty horrible too....in all it took me about 2 months to be what i considered normal again......it was a wretched experience.......but the good news is i haven't had a strep infection since and that was 6 yrs. ago.....if you are getting them out because of strep infections its a good thing because strep infections can move to your organs and get out of control quick. i seriously almost died because of dehydration and infection from strep my tonsil removal was done on an emergency basis so its good you are getting them out before it gets to that point.....good luck buy lots of ice cream

I did and it wasnt all that bad. One thing is to keep drinking lots of water, I stuck to broth and I got an infection in my whole mouth like thrush and it had me on alot of other meds. so it isnt very painful like most make it out to be, just drink.

man you know what, i got mine out at 25, and it sucked so bad, it took a while to heal. the doctor burned my tongue, and my bell in the back of my throat. me bell looked so swollen, that it almost looked like you could see through it. they say it is harder to recover from it when you get older. that is so true. one good thing about it is i havent got sick from them anymore. i was always getting sick and loosin my voice. but hope you have a better than i did, mine just sucked.... good luck.
