Some people still deny evolution - they cannot accept the idea that even the simplest microbe could exist unless it was created... but then with breathtaking illogicality, they argue that something infinitely more amazing - an intelligent entity capable of designing and creating an entire universe - *can* just exist without being created.

How can people hold such bizarre and mutually contradictory ideas?

BTW this is for Jeanne :-)

I am wondering if anyone else has had similar thoughts or dreams...
In my dream, there was a group of Black males called the Brotherhood. People from all walks of life were present from lyricists to scientists, and everyone was positively and constructvely working together. This group was facillitated by a White woman, and its purpose was to gather and develop world-changing ideas and projects. I have always been fascinated by similar ideas, but was amazed to wake up from such an in-depth dream, that made this brotherhood seem like an attainable reality. Many other cultures believe in this type of unity, and have organized groups to this end, but Blacks, however seem to have little sense of unity. Does anybody believe in the creation of such a group? Where would I have to look to find others who are like-minded?

Tell me what is your religion, and if you are Christian, what is your denomination.
I know that many Christians think their religion justified physical punishment of children, but I don't know if this is typical for some special denomination.

Do you realize that the original scriptues of both New and Old testaments are nothing more than paraphrases recorded by ancient writers? The very Bible itself was originally recorded in paraphrase format.

Salamu alaikum. I made this question before and no Muslim replied, so I am trying my luck again today during Ramadan to see if a Muslim help us all understand.

Given that Islam is a peaceful religion, why peaceful Muslims do not demonstrate against radical extremists that use Islam name to justify their terrorist attacks?

I am making this question with all due respect, with a sincere interest in understanding you guys better. My intention is not to offend anyone, so I shall be grateful if non-Muslims refrain from answering this question. Thank you.

There are so many questions on here about gay, lesbien, and bi-sexual, it makes me wonder........what if all these differences in sexuality, are a sign of evolution? Meaning that one day we will all be of the same gender? It's just something I thought of, and wondered if anyone else ever did!

Who thinks it is out of order that in England there has just been on the news about how 50 percent of children in primary school do not speak english and there are complaints that they should be taught in their own language also 40 percent of kids in secondary school are now non english speaking. I think this is absolutely bullxxxx as if they come and live here then they should fxxxxxx speak the language of the country rather than expecting the country to accommodate them. Australia has the right idea they would not have this. England has gone to the dogs but then again there are no english here any more.

If you or someone you know wears their pants down in this manner, did you know this came from prison? Do you know that a person who wears their pants like this means that he is someone's butt monkey? It represents a male that belongs to another male for sexual purposes and favors. This is not a joke. I have a brother and friends who worked in a Minimum Security Prison, and this is where this information originated. Congratulations, bunky.

And if HE created ME, Why would some people dessecrate HIS Holy CREATION by insulting ME and calling ME names?

If I decide to give God the finger, doesn't that happen because it was the will of God to happen? And what good is it to be a pious person if God has already decided who's going to heaven and who's going to hell? Do those that repent go against God's will?

If I went to a restaurant, and ordered a friend chicken, and mashed potatoes, and 20 minutes later a round circular disk was brought to my table, and it was yellow in color and had red dots on it, and smelled like marinara, and when tasteing it, it didn't taste like chicken or mashed potatoes, and tasted like mozarella instead,

would I ask the waitress to take it back and replace my meal, or should I have faith that it is indeed chicken and mashed potatoes,

why or why not?

I don't deal well with criticism, and am still hard on myself for things that happened long ago. That and when someone criticizes me, I nearly always take it personally and can't let it go for a long time. I don't hate the people that do it, I just can't forget what was said. Overall, I want to be able to handle criticism better and not care what other people think so much... Thanks in advance for your response.
