Did you hear about the 80+yr old woman that bought a lotto ticket, had a dream so bought another ticket with the exact same numbers. There were 3 tickets that won, and she had 2 of them so won 17million instead 12million.

What do you think about dreams? I know someone asked before if anyone had dreams come true but this is a different question. Do you think she was just plain old lucky? God spoke to her? (but aren't there thousands of more deserving souls that could use that money - I'm not say she ISN'T deserving though) Angel? Supernatural powers?

If dreams come true, who / what do you say is responsible

In the UK we have different accents depending on what part of the country you come from, i was just wondering if its the same in America, does the accent change from State to State or City to City or is it pretty much the same everywhere?

Papa Ratzi has decided there is no such thing as limbo. Now all children go to heaven, whether baptised or not. If that's the case, can the Roman Catholic Church continue to believe in original sin?

If so, how does that tie in with unbaptised children haveing none?

I'm from Tony Soprano land in the NYC area (US). I have a somewhat silly question - but where is a better place to ask?

In the Beatles song "Girl," John Lennon pronounces the word leisure as "leh-sure." I always pronounced it "LEE-sure," as in leisure suit (ecch!). (Yes, I'm doing the best I can with the phonetic spellings.)

So, is Lennon's pronunciation the way it is said in England? Or is it a way to make the words rhyme?

Yes, It is one of the silliest questions you will ever read here. But I'm in good company.

Thanks.

PS I have always pronounced migrane, as in migrane headache, as "MY-grain," not "MEE-grain." Is the second the "English English" pronunciation?

I need to find a picture of the royal seal of queen/godess Isis in ancient Egypt.
I already found the cartouche of King Tut, Cleopatra and Neferetiti but I need to find a picture of the one for Isis.

Here is an example of King Tut cartouche:

First, have any of you been there and come back? Because if not, you would really be basing what you are saying on something else right? Like a book or a person, right? That person or book could be lieing, right?

So, how can I be so sure I am going to hell, isn't it possible that I am not going to hell, since its possible all the people and books that have told me that were lieing?

I just purchased this home not too long ago and this neighbor complained to me about noise coming from my home at night, so I told her I would work on it and now I just close my windows and she says that has helped. But NOW she's saying that at night time could we park our car in the back by the garage instead of by our door (which is more convenient for us) because she can hear doors slamming and it wakes her up. I think that she is being very unreasonable because we don't SLAM the doors we close them regulary just like anyone else. She has approached my mom one morning about this saying "I have told you about the slamming doors before you are disturbing the whole neighborhood if this keeps up it is going to be trouble" she yelled all this through her window. Should I agree to just park in the back by the garage and let her have her way? When the winter time comes it's gonna be headache having to park back there especially with my young children.

dont you hate it when a person posts a question about religion and then in the additional details spews forth with preaching and force-feeding their religion? Why cant we ask honest questions and not just put something good in the main question line then use the other part to get people angry and make stupid remarks?

Please feel free to look at my first question so you can understand the meaning of this post.

My father passed away on tuesday after a final hour of rest on his bed. It was quite a shock as the doctors had said he may reach the end of this month, but he was getting very tired; we spent the last few days driving around as he wanted to see all the places that were special to him one last time. We went for a walk in the woods (my father in a wheelchair) where he proposed to my mum, and fed the ducks at the lake she always used to love sitting at. Then we went to see a football game at our local ground, it was very touching because at the end of the match all of the players came and shook his hand and said they would sign a shirt for him- he had gone to nearly every home game for the last thirty years.

He died old and tired, longing to see his wife and friends again and glad he'd had a long, happy life. His last words were 'Now my light has gone out,', and he had a smile on his face.

Where I live in Sydney Australia, it's a little dissapointing. A few kids go trick or treating but no one does any decorating. When I lived in Ireland in Co. Clare they had a few houses that decorated and trick or treaters. Thanks! ; )
