Yom Kipper- day of atonement-celebrated by Jews with a 25 hour fast & intense prayers- It is the most Holy day of the Jewish New Year. (Sept/October) It fell on Oct. 2 nd this year.

Oct. 16,1995- day of attonement- declared by the Nation Of Islam-American Black Men on the Million Man March-lead by Louis Farrakkan pledged to repudiate crime, drug addiction, family abuse etc..

Small Christian groups recognize this day with the Jewish to fast and pray, believing Christ is their blood sacrifice for sins. And Christ will return to Earth in all of His Glory!

Don't know where you got that.... Maybe. It's also the month when lots of cool decorations go up and people who weren't allowed to celebrate Halloween as a child. Well, if they're adults now, they get to. Oh, and there are so many awesome Halloween stories and folklores. Read up on it a bit. October is a storyteller's dream.
