Regardless of my notoriety on Yahoo, I am well versed in Christianity, more specifically, Anglicanism. From childhood to my adulthood, I had a firm understanding of the Trinity. For example, Jesus is fully man and fully God. No Anglican I know would dispute that. Why do I keep seeing so many Yahoo answerers (who are Christians) quoting all manner of literature (inside and outside the Bible), saying that Jesus is not God – but the Son of God! Wouldn’t that be taking a primitive step back? It’s like saying Jesus is just a demigod, no different from Hercules! Or are these people just trying to show heathens that they are cool? I really hope you understand my question, because I haven’t had much luck with religious questions! Other faiths are welcome too, but seriously, you’d probably get a headache reading my words! Thanks.

It wasn't a question for atheists in general, but for J.T. only. I took the liberty of posting it rather than sending it to him to see what would happen. You're an angry bunch, for sure.

Some people are complaining about this pastor that's been in this church for two years how he took away Sunday night services (where you pray and worship and have a good time with your bros and sissies in Christ), everyone's busy doing activities in the church like for kids and stuff.

I'd say so!

I'm particularly interested in the why nots. I'm not seeing the harm in it. I'd love to hear some detailed reasoning.

If you're not a Christian, I'm really not interested in hearing your response to this question. Sorry. I'm looking for like-minded people's responses on this. Telling me that you don't believe what I do doesn't answer my question. It just wastes your time.

It's an awful question...but I know of someone who is in a bind like that, and I wonder what I would say to him since he seems so unhappy with his mate of 15 years and his mate seems quite unhappy with him too, their relationship is cold and bitter and distant, and they are just going through the motions while the otehr mate who is healthy plays around on the side without the other one's knowledge. They don't even share the same bed either.

Should he stay or should he leave him?

What do you think?

I've had the pleasure of speaking with some intellegent people about Christianity and Islam. I'd say I'm a little more knowledgable about each then I was yesterday. So this question is about making sure I got it right.

Islam believe that the path of salvation is to accept Allah as the one true God. No other gods, saints, avatars. Just Allah Almighty. If you are a good person and have good intentions, then you join Allah Almighty in Paradise. The Ten Commandments being an excellet guide line to follow

Christianity believe that salvations comes from accepting Jesus as Lord and Saviour ( Jesus being God or God's son ) and through his sacrifice you're sins are washed from your soul. Follow the Ten Commandments and ask for forgiveness should you mess up. Try again.

If either of these statements are incorrect, please feel free to correct them with relevent text. Thankyou for your time.

Were they insulting enough for you to violently protest in the streets and threaten the producers of these films?

Just asking. I know *some* criticized the Da Vinci Code, but I never heard of violence ensuing in the streets over it or threats of death. If so, please correct me. Thanks.

When a person who has not accepted Jesus as their Savior dies, they will be separated from God for eternity in hell.

However, when Jesus paid the penalty for our sins on the cross, He only suffered hell for a short time and is now in heaven with God. Why did He not have to suffer for eternity?

Heres' the website to explain this truly INTERNATIONAL MOVEMENT ON OCTOBER 5 (tomorrow--Thursday) to literally DRIVE THE CRIMINAL BUSH REGINE and its torture, lies and betrayals from power.

The website is: http://www.worldcantwait.net -- that is http://www.worldcantwait (dot) net -- I use (dot) and spaces because Yahoo often drops the last letters of web address for some reason.

Are you participating? Are you aware of the downtown gatherings of American citizens who HAVE HAD ENOUGH OF BUSH AND HIS GANG and who want him and the world BOTH to know that Americans DO NOT SUPPORT TORTURE, WAR CRIMES, BLIND SUPPORT OF ISRAEL AND ITS MISDEEDS, WAR ON CIVILIANS, LIES AND BETRAYALS.

Do you know that Bush is trying to merge the USA into a union with Mexico and Canada in which we have only one of three votes in the goverring tribunal and the US Constitution will become a city ordinance?

Visit the website and then state here what you are going to do on October 5 in YOUR hometown. OK?

The most common time frame for what is referred to as the Dark Ages or Middle Ages is approximately 500 -1500 C.E. During this period, something bordering on miraculous happened. Habeas Corpus - a writ that requires a person detained by the authorities to be brought before a court of law so that the legality of the detention may be examined, was enshrined in law. This was a monumental step forward in common law and perdates the Magna Carta of 1215.

This right came crashing down at the hands of George W. Bush. Those suspected of terrorist acts can now be held indefinitely without charge and without access to Habeas Corpus.

My question to you is, does this support Christian doctrine? Is this something that Jesus would do? And concerning the times we live in,

Do you feel safer? What about the impact on Americans living abroad? What about a soldier's right to Habeas Corpus under the Geneva Conventions?

Are we not all marching backwards to the year 500?

When Republican Congressman Mark Foley's attorney says he was molested by a clergyman as a youth, is it now ok that he was chatting up teenage boys on tax-payers' dime?

Whether or not this story is true, is the religious right gonna legitimize this latest Republican scandal so he can continue to receive retirement funds from tax-payers?

When are conservatives gonna take ownership of their own vices and not blame someone else for how their abuse of power?
