Just asking. I know *some* criticized the Da Vinci Code, but I never heard of violence ensuing in the streets over it or threats of death. If so, please correct me. Thanks.

I am a Christian. I love Monty Python movies,they are very funny.As far as the Davinci code goes,I found the story thrilling. I never heard of anyone protesting on the streets over these movies.Truthfully the only place I saw fanaticism over the DaVinci code,was on this message board.You couldn't even ask or answer a question without having fanatics from both sides all over you.I have my own beliefs as far as my faith & everything else.I would never force my beliefs on another.People who protest in the manner you are speaking of are trying forcing their beliefs on others.

Nooo...Personally I feel you need to actually watch a movie before you can get offended by it. And then you need to remember that they were both works of fiction (and like all movies they may have truthful aspects). I haven't seen the Da Vinci Code yet (I may just to see what all the fuss is about) and I (sadly) fell asleep during Monty(what I saw was that stupid kind of funny that's fun to watch but you need to be in the mood for)
Being offended is all about what goes on in your mind when you over-think something. Christianity is about what goes on in your heart.

Monty Python ?? He's hilarious: the Holy Grail is my favorite. The Da Vinci Code? I thought it looked blasphemous and didn't see it....of course that's what I thought about the Holy Grail too at first, so we'll see. (;p)
