"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life and have it to the full." ) John 10v10) Reading the sad, sad comments of others who have responded to this question, I can see how much has been stolen, killed and destroyed in their lives. I have enjoyed life to the full for a long time now and find it heartbreaking that so many people are unwilling even to give Jesus a try! And the saddest delusion of all on their part is that life ends when we die. When they find out that this is simply not true, it will be too late. Unless, that is, they change their minds while there is still time!

I do think that there must be something more to this life. At the very least, I think that some sort of force must've set the universe in motion. But I don't think I have anyway of knowing what that force or other level of reality is, so I prefer to not worry about it. Religions are a possible answers, but they seem more like assumptions and coping mechanism than honest searches for truth to me. I presume from your details that you have faith. And if you're right in the end, more power to you.

life is dark, bleak and meaningless. And when you die, your consciousness slips back into the darkness of the universe. And that is the end. No fanfare, No parades. No puffy clouds, golden pathways or bright lights leading you to the revelation of all things as promised by religious dogmas. No homecoming, no friends, no family, no nothing. Just the dark, cold, lonely end.

Have a nice day. :o)

If your question is do you need to be nailed to a tree to have experience of being in the world, no I believe if you think there is a God that would be so cruel and that is not a God - People hurt other people and we all have free will and it is systems that drop bombs for their own reasons and it is always about money, resources or just because you can

If life was a utopiah, it would be boring as hell.

This life is exciting, fun, challenging and has all the depth you need. If you think you need more, then you are either an emotional glutton, or you are ignoring the great things life has.

yes. i cannt help myself to get out of this thinking. and i think i am right as well. and more important is that as being a muslim. i believe that exploring makes u better person. Prophet Muhammad(PBUH) said: get knowledge even u have to go to china(in those days china was like a farthest land & its very difficult to go there.like marco polo made it after a long journey).
so just remember. Knowledge is Power. Knowledge increased through exploring things.

No, I don't. I was born, I live, I die. Before I was born, I didn't exist. After I die, I won't exist again. Everything I've ever experienced has lead me unalterably to that one conclusion -- this is indeed all there is, there is nothing more.
