I was wondering if you could help me to understand your view on this. I believe that the gifts of the Spirit operate in the church today, and have seen so much evidence that it's true, such as people giving me prophetic words that were so accurate and helped me in my relationship with God (they also did not go against the Bible, for those of you wondering about deception - sometimes it is just a verse in Scripture that someone feels the Lord has given them for me, and I know without a doubt that I needed to hear it at that time).

Anyway, I really just want to understand why people believe the gifts (such as tongues, prophecy, etc) died out. I'd also like to know where you got this information. It would be really helpful for me to understand this point of view on spiritual gifts.

Thank you.

If you see a prostitute in Vegas on the strip wearing hot pink hooker boots and a leopard print mini skirt, does this mean all women who wear hot pink hooker boots and leopard print mini skirts are prostitutes?

If you see a lady on the street going to the nightclub in this attire, do you assume she wishes to be sexually assaulted?

Do you assume she accepts money for sex based on this attire?

Are you justified in assuming whatever you do about this lady, and putting her down? When you don't even know her?

I have read alot of outrageoous and slanderous sh*t on here. What blows my mind is that one of my answers got deleted because I called someone a jack*ss. Whats up with that? What is this world coming to when some jack*ss can harrass the GLBT community but we can't even state the obvious?

This will probably be your most irrelevant question today because it simply doesn't matter, however, when looking at the Bible it never indicates the age of "Adam" and "Eve". Logically, we would say that they were born adults to work the land, but God's care of Man was different before the Fall so perhaps that wasn't the main concern at the beginning. From a scientific standpoint, if Man emerged from a sort of genetic "goo" what was the incubator and what raised the first children if they were...well the firstborn EVER?

Mahatma Gandhi, Mother Teresa, JRD Tata, Dalai Lama, Dr.Martin Luthar King (jr), Nelson Mandela.

Would Allah not consider what they have done for society, humanity, nation and world, or the only benchmark for them destined to hell is being non muslims, so non believers..or so called "kafers" who are sure to get hell in afterlife..

Trinitarians try to prove the doctrine of Trinity using the illustration of vapor (steam), solid(ice) & liquid(water).
Remember God is a spirit (notice singular noun and verb is used (is & spirit) not (are & spirits). So if God is a Spirit therefore in that illustration He is only in the manifestation of “steam” (spirit) and not “ice’ & “water”. God’s Son is the one who became flesh and not God himself. So the illustration given is wrong.

What do you think?

I mean, look at the way things are. People get married on reality tv shows to people they barely know because other people they don't know voted on it. Divorce is at an all time high, do I have to remind you guys of Slutteny Spears' wedding in Las Vegas that was annuled the next day? People are getting married for all the wrong reasons, for money, for prestiege, for just being able to say they are married.

Really, people, how could allowing gay people to get married really make things any worse?

It's like "It's ok to get married to somene you've never met on tv for a million dollers, it's ok to marry someone you're not in love with for money, it's ok to force someone it to marriage by getting pregnant, and it's ok to get married six or seven times and divorce them each after less than a year, but God forbid someone get married to someone they're in love with that just so happens to be of the same gender, because that will distroy the sanctity of marriage!"

Discuss.

"O Gloriosissimi Lux"

It is the name of one of the chants of Hildegard von Bingen (St. Hildegard or the "Sibyl of the Rhine"). She was a Catholic woman of the early Middle Ages who obtained visions from God.

Thanks much.

All life appears to be designed, and evolutionists have failed to adequately explain why. Adaptation to environmental changes, mutations, and natural selection has not validated macroevolution. Louis Pasteur disproved spontaneous generation of life. Sir Fred Hoyle and Charles Wickramasinghe stated in their book, Evolution from Space, that “they estimated the probability of forming a single enzyme or protein at random, in a rich ocean of amino acids, was no more than one in 10 to the 20th power.” Next, they calculated the likelihood of forming all of the 2000+ enzymes used in the life forms of earth. This probability was calculated at one in 10 to the 40,000th power. They popularized the following cliché: “belief in the chemical evolution of the first cell from lifeless chemicals is equivalent to believing that a tornado could sweep through a junkyard and form a Boeing 747.”

a consist ant rational attitude of value towards life.
If you have the general love I defined, then you love everyone. There are different levels of love though and the most intimate love can't be rushed. One must really get to know the person.

The love at first sight is only an attachment to something you see, it's not really love. Even in Spanish we don't call this am or, we call it gusto. in other words, Love doesn't discriminate a life. It's constructive, not offensive.
