Nowhere in the Bible does it suggest that you will be able to see the events on Earth when you get to Heaven. In fact, it says the opposite. The book of Revelation says that in Heaven there will be no more sorrow, sadness or weeping ever again, Hallelujah!!!!

The Bible says there will be no more tears in heaven so I hardly think we will be able to see the suffering still going on here on earth. besides, I don't even recall a verse that says this to be the case.
I understand your concern, but when God says that heaven is a glorious place, just believe Him! God has this worry of yours all worked out, I am sure!

I wonder about this too as my dad passed away recently.... I don't think they can see us because there is no pain and suffering in Heaven. If they could see us and we were hurting in some way it would cause them pain. Good question! It's one of the many I hope to have answered when I get there!

Good question. What you say is true. The bible tells us that there will be no more tears in heaven, so I don't think that there will be any access to viewing loved ones who haven't made it.
Read below Luke 16:19-26~ Hope it helps.
There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and lived in luxury every day. At his gate was laid a beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores and longing to eat what fell from the rich man's table. Even the dogs came and licked his sores.
"The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham's side. The rich man also died and was buried. In hell, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. So he called to him, 'Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.'
"But Abraham replied, 'Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony. And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.'

You haven't gotten to heaven yet, so obviously you won't know if you really can see your loved ones... stop being so pessimistic about everything... it makes your life so much more harder... you should have faith in God enough to not let something like this bug you... worry about actually getting to heaven rather than expecting you'll get there to see loved one's (possibly suffering) God is a good God, you just need Faith and Hope

First of all, the dead sleep. humans are physical beings animated by God's spirit, we don't animate ourselves.
Second of all, heaven in the bible could refer to the Earth's atmosphere, outer space, or paradise (God's Headquarters). The New Jerusalem which has the Tree of Life is going to descend to Earth 1000 years after Jesus takes his people. (the people return in the city).
Thirdly, you have to resurrect from the grave in order to go anywhere. If you're going to receive hellfire, then you don't go anywhere, you just die and cease to exist. The word hell in the bible can often just be refering to the grave.
