Usually it's because they aren't confident in themselves and their personal strengths so they make up for them by lashing out at others who have what they themselves lack.

I often wonder that. I guess some women are so insecure that they view all other women as competition. . I knew a woman once, that I worked with, and she was so jealous of women, that even women singers were terrible. Bette Midler was flawed, Stevie Nicks was hated, Streisand could not sing. Now tell me, what kind of idiot can say that Barbra Streisand cannot sing? I avoided her as much as I could.

I am more than happy with what i have.
But to answer your question. Women become insecure mainly when there is a man involved in the picture that they are interested in and they cannot be with them. When they see the girl or girls he is with they start wishing they could look like that to get his attention.
Also, when men use the famous line "why you can't look like........"
When the dribble over Hollywood females who are mainly fake.
Those are the reasons for your question.
I however am confident enough to go after any man i want and come out successful. And i do not have a super model body.

I think that women are jealous of other women because they might fell insure about themselves. I might see something you are wearing and try on the same thing, but it does not look right on me. i might project my own insurity on you because we are different. i also think that women are jealous about another women because they just need drama in their lives. I guess that over a woman accept what they have, or just keep being jealous

Jealosy is a human nature. Some of it is good. It promotes competition and leads us to excellence. Too much of it causes problems.People who are insecure are more likely to be victims of jealosy. A very cofident woman may not be jealous. Others may be. This rule is applicable to all,irrespective of sex, but more so to woman!

It usually comes from lack of self esteem and a shortage of decent men. A lot of this comes from the parents and how they treat people.

Why, are you jealous of someone? Someone jealous of you. Sometimes, its not jealousy. People may not like a person's attitude especially if that person has a false sense of grandeur. I've known a bunch of chicks who were sooo quick to say someone was jealous of them when, in fact, they were disliked because they were biatches. Nasty attitude and thought they were God's gift to the world. On the flip side, women have been jealous of me and I think that some women are just programmed that way because of issues early on in life. If the family structure isn't strong, a person will be envious of someone else. If a person is made to feel beautiful and respected, I doubt they'd have a reason to be jealous of anyone.

Instead of saying you really admire another woman's strength and attributes. It is easier to hate because of your own insecurities. When really you like something about that woman.
