I say yes. Sometimes we want to wait to see if anyone offers up a "God bless you" but, if they don't you just have dead (sometimes germy) air. I think it just sounds more polite. And I don't think you have to limit yourself to just one "excuse me". You can gage yourself to see if you expect to sneeze again. I think etiquette makes the world a nicer place. I also think etiquette's main purpose is to help us question our own behavior, not point out the mistakes in someone else's behavior.

I always do. For some reason the other bodily noises seem to call for an "excuse me" so why not sneezing? Besides, I'm potentially spewing my germs into the immediate area (though I try to sneeze into the crook of my arm or my shoulder - never my hands).

Although sneezing is a very healthy reaction of the body (and in many aspects equals an orgasm (dont get me wrong, it is true if you look at it biologically), the fact that you throw by it nto the air a good amount of your microbes suggests that an "excuse me" is appropriate

Yes, but after the second sneeze you don't say it again.
(This in an etiquette guide I have)

I always thought it was proper ettiquette for someone else to say "bless you" and then for you to say "thank you" after you sneeze. I don't think it's necessary to say "excuse me" unless you just sneezed in someone's face or interrupted their conversation or something.

Yes, say "excuse me" after you sneeze. People will usually say "Bless you" and then you respond "thank you" but if not, simply say "excuse me". You are excusing yourself for splattering germs into the air, even if you cover your mouth.

Saying excuse me, or bless me is fine. You are acknowledging that you might be spraying something around, with out without your mouth covered (hopefully with). The "God bless me/you" had to do with the idea that your heart stops when you sneeze.

Yes, it is polite to say "excuse me" after you sneeze but if you don't then you can't expect others to say " bless you".

Yes, especially if your sneeze interrupts what someone is saying.
