We will be voting whether or not to allow slots at race tracks. Those opposed bring up addiction or religious reasons. What is the difference between gambling and investing in stocks? You risk your money for a possible profit. I'm forced to participate in a 401K because my employers(God rot them!) froze pensions. I lost hundreds of dollars with "low risk" investments. Others lost tens of thousands. If gambling with your retirement isn't immoral, I don't see why having some fun with my own money and losing it is. I could go see a bad movie, or eat at a bad restaurant, but nobody cares. If I buy state lottery tickets or go to church bingo games, it is OK. If I put my money in a slot and pull the handle I am EVIL! WHY? I don't gamble much because I'm risk adverse, but I would like to know the difference between "good" gambling and "bad" gambling.

Today I saw in the news that another homeless man has been beating to a pulp here in South Florida. This is the 3rd case, and I'm sure everyone heard about the teenagers who beat a homeless man to death.
What's going on with people these days? I would never, ever hurt anyone or anything more vulnerable or less fortunate than I. What's going on?

These barbaric palestinians have gone too far right. Fighting for something that is not theirs. I say that the world should show them an example of being civilized. I say that the Americans should sign a treaty saying they hand over America back to the native Red Indians who lived their. Then pack up their bags and leave America. Wouldn't that set a Great example to these Barbaric Palestinians, who go about risking life and limb so that they and their country men can have thier home back, and know doing what i mentioned above should show these barbarians how to be civilized right...who else agrees to my idea of setting an example....why even Australia can pitch in....leaving Autralia to the Aborigins.....don't u agree....?

I've read many comments claiming God does not stop murderers because that would take away their free will.

If God has the power to prevent it and does not, he is just as responsible as the murderer. Why is God murdering children? Doesn't that take away their "free will?"

Please explain how that is logical.

Thanks.

Why would he have 200 or so people all make complicated plans to travel an then smash their plane into the side of a mountain? Wouldn't it make more sense to just kill them in their sleep or something?

We are very busy specially on Christmas and Ramadan. So the machines are not enough. Sometimes i have to run after them to cut the throught. Do you think i'll get a special trip to heaven soon because of my contribution to this special religous occations. Now about this new machine we have, I just need to press the buttion. Automatically the animal get fully skined and the throught get a sharp cut. Sometimes we have to push the cows to the machine. You must see how they try to avoid that.I think they fear the death.Because the machine does the job i dont feel like to pray. Do i need to pray before i push the buttion? I love my work. Some animals s||it when they were push to the machine.

Have you ever come across obnoxious guys who have no idea why they are still single for more than 5 years, when the answer is right under their nose? They think they understand women or pretend to be some psychologists but really, they don't!

I had a strange dream.
All the while I couldnt see myself in the dream or anything at all.
So basically I couldnt see, hear or use any of the other 3 senses.
But I was consious of my dream.

was attacked by a dog.
Showed no fear
Attempted to show love to dog by feeling it towards him.
Dog stopped attacking.
Asked for a gift(Cos I read you can do that once you conquered your fear)
I said music but then changed my mind and asked for something else. Never got to hear the music.

Then the scene changed and i was in my room.
I looked at my watch 3 times and each time it would change its time. (Just so you understand, I couldnt really see anything, it was more like I perceived myself to see the watch and perceive the time change)

At this point I thought to myself, awesome Im fully lucid.
Found a mirror.
Tried to go thru it.
Could not put head thru it cos it was solid.
So i tried with my hands.
It was colder in there.
Then I found my self where I dont know.
Was I lucid?

If I literally believed in Santa Claus or the Tooth Fairy would anyone respect my beliefs? No. Why do we respect faith in some things but not in others? It's perfectly ok to believe in life after death and invisible men in the sky.

What church was formed by Jesus?
a couple years back a gay church was formed that just excluded all parts of the bible that labled the practise as a sin. Isnt there anything that governs the formation of new churches and the altering of the bible? Im not bashing the religion im just trying to understand how it works. I appologise in advance to anyone who might take offence to this.

Picture a nice restaurant setting... It would be awkward to say "I have to urinate." So, women often say they have to 'pee'. Children have to 'go pee-pee'. But if a guy says he has to 'pee', it sounds either feminine or childish, and if he says he has to 'piss' it would be rude.

What's a word a guy could use in polite company when he's gotta "drain the lizard"?

I'm looking for a single word, though, not a phrase like 'go to the bathroom'.

FYI: not wizz, pee, piss, drain, tinkle, toilet, potty, piddle.
