There are thousands of ancient documents to corroborate the Bible. The same can't be said for Santa Claus or the Tooth Fairy. Do a little research about the Dead Sea Scrolls and textual criticism and you might be surprised how much proof of the validity of the Bible there is to try to refute.

I suppose it depends on your definition of delusional. There is no God, and Jesus did not rise from the dead, to give a couple examples, but most Christians would say that they do not hear God talking to them in an audible voice, and so we could say that it is not a delusion. It is delusional to think that Christian beliefs are logically consistent, but everyone is different and people believe for different reasons, so I would say the answer to your question is "most". Most Christians think they believe something plausible, and hence are delusional. The others realize, again to a varying degree, the implausibility of the whole thing and thus are merely desperate.

Sure, when you have substantied evidence. We don't believe as blindly as you and most unbelievers think. Some of us came to belief slowly and were led to study scriptures that predicted hundreds of historical events that we found out all came true hundreds and thousands of years after they were written, just like they were predicted. Hundreds of them very specifically and on time to the day. That's scary stuff man. When you realize you have in your hands a book that knows everything that is going to happen and you do the research and find that it' right on the money???????? Most folks aren't willing to go to that length to find the truth though, they want to read a few sentences and then just cast it off as hogwash, but that's their loss and they really don't care anyway. They aren't that interested in their eternal future and are more concerned with what is going on in their everyday life. And that's reasonable because we are flesh and blood, but you are in grave error to believe we have to cause to believe what we do......God Bless

Most of the followers of the three paths of Abraham are screwballs to begin with. Unfortunately, these people compose most of the worlds population. So it's safe to say that the Earth is currently one big insane asylum.

There's nothing delusional in believing in the truth.
One day you will find out the hard way.
Better pray you make the right decision.
I will pray for you.

People who believe there definitely IS a God are only as delusional as those who believe there definitely IS NOT.
I think agnostics are probably the sanest of us.

What we know about Christ comes from one of them most historical books in...well...history.
Why do most people believe in anything taught in history class and then think that Jesus was a fictional character?
