This is an easy question to answer. I have wondered this too. People do not adapt very well to change. Some are afraid of what others think and are afraid of themselves and their capabilities, and they do not always realize this. This is a great question, which has caused me to think about some things. Thank you for asking it!!:)

I think both are important. Family or cultural traditions are part of who and what we are. New traditions are important when you have a family of your own. I don'e have children but while my wife and I follow family traditions at holidays and such, we have also started some of our own and it's fun to do that. Both can be done without upsetting the cart so to speak.
