i was born catholic,they have lied to me so i do not follow them nor any religions because of deceits,that means i do not agree with family members and neibors,i have that right in canada,muslims don't have that right,rigths or not why follow religions whom lie to you and do wrongs?i know some places you get killed and here the wifes get beat up so they don't deny that religion,your duty is positive goodness and if you are a muslim and do not quit that religion than you are supporting the muslims wrong doings.having no religions does not mean you do not have a GOD.

Okay the reason for my first poll.....

I have a good friend who has a child with such a rare disease that only 10 are recorded in history. The name is at least 50 syllables long. It is terminal.

The child is 5 years old. They are both Atheist and extremely close friends of ours.(They did blame God, however)
They say if they had have known about the disease they would have aborted and not let the child live to suffer. The doctors do not say he lives in pain.
Personally I hurt, as even though this child cannot function without assistance, it was a part of thier life they could not replace.

Now the question....
How do I convey to them the time spent with him was worth it?
Or are they correct in a "calculated" decision?

They still are and always will be great friends.

i hear this a lot of late but are people scared of a theoracy? i really dont think it will happen but then again i am not one to say so either but if a theoracy ever happens what would it be like? christians on both sides of the fence have been debating if they want a theoracy or not but in america it seems that some christian fanatics want a theoracy and then there are those who want another witch trials.

so the question is do americans want a theoracy or should we fight back?

I have been in and out of church most of my life, on my own. Not with my family as they don't go. I have also read tons of books in addition to the bible. I have prayed. I have talked to religious counselors. I have tried to live right. I talk to God as if he's sitting next to me all the time!

People like to say that the universe cannot be infinite. They claim God has to exist as the energy driving the universe. If God is an energy, how can he have a consciousness? Electricity doesn't think, the suns rays don't have emotion. I say if you want to believe in an energy source that is infinite that created the universe you also can't make that energy source a conscious entity. Otherwise, you might as well just believe the universe is infinite.
