study, read, and do what you can to be a force for good. Your faith will find you, whatever that faith turns out to be.

Do you have people around you that you love and depend on?

Let us say that tomorrow there are three fatal traffic accidents so near your home that your ability to keep your schedule is totally changed. In addition one of the victims is a close friend and that hurts.

The following day a tornado levels the neighborhood including your home. The day after that people from across town come into what's left of your neighborhood and take everything that isn't nailed down.

About the only thing you have left is a small section of property, some family photos and those few people you love and have been able to depend on.

Considering all this; will you love them less or feel that you are somehow less able to depend on them than you could three days ago?

The ability to depend on someone is called trust and trust is one of the great synonyms for faith.

That sorrows of this world are compounding daily is a given for those who are not blind. Perhaps what you are losing is some of your beliefs about how things should be.

Now faith, not belief, is something which God tests by trial. The world is on trial now. For a Christian faced with trials of faith the answer is: Rejoice.

We all can falter in our faith, but there are two more theological virtues that work hand in hand with faith. The other two virtues are Hope and Charity. Charity is the greatest of these. If you know what the virtue of faith is, then it is helpful to know what is Hope and Charity. So, give the other two a good study and live them as well as faith.
I know that it seems like there is so much evil in the world, but the reality is that there is so much good as well. The technology today can give the appearance that there is no room for goodness. However, it is because our technology relays news so fast and that we have a morbid desire to hear bad news rather than good, lends weight to that "evil" worldview. Then one has to ask oneself,"why is only half of the news (the bad things that are in this world) reported these days more than the rest (the good things that are in this world)?"
Such a way of presenting the world in the news plays into the ways of the evil one. They unknowingly reported such evils thinking it is objective news. However, so much of it gives us the impression that good cannot triumph over evil. It gives the impression that we are unheard and unloved. Ultimately, if we believe only in what is reported, we fall into despair. That is the ultimate goal of the evil one. I am not saying that the news media is evil, just imprudent in their approach in reporting the news and not bothering to see further implications of what they do. To them it boils down to ratings, because they believe the general public will watch nothing else.
This is all that I can think to say at the moment. Hope it helps. May the Lord bless and keep you. May He let the light of His face shine upon you.
God's and your beast of burden

The best thing to do is surrender yourself to an imaginary deity. This can be accompanied by much genuflecting and moaning, "oh god, oh god, oh god." Don't confuse this with the other reason to moan, "oh god, oh god, oh god." It's hard enough for god to discern from among the billions who is in ecstasy and who is agony. Also, hold strong to the idea that we (meaning humans) are never responsible for all our problems. It helps if you can remember what it was like to do something bad as a small child, and then run crying to your parents to have them fix it. Actually, it's almost exactly the same, except it's kinda impossible to run up to heaven (since the stairs are soooo long) so the next best thing is to run into one of those holy buildings and cower with all the other arrested adults because, hey, delusion loves company. Just don't be surprised if some other arrested adult tries to blow up your holy building because they don't believe in the same imaginary deity that you do. This seems to be as popular today as it was hundreds of years ago, which just goes to show that badness endures, no matter how much faith people have.

It is all too easy to look at the "bad" in the world and blame it on an uncaring or indifferent Deity. The problem is that the world is not made up of deities, it is made up of people, and people do bad things sometimes.

Each of us must find our own answer to this problem. For me, the answer is to try and leave the world a little bit better than when I entered it, even if I can only make it a tad better for just one person. IF we all did that, we would have the Utopia we all crave.

This is the best answer I can give you. Our God is honourable and never cheats. He must play by His own rules.
In the garden of Eden we had everything we could desire. We walked and talked with God and His only commandment was to not eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
I am sure you know the story. Adam and Eve ate of the tree and were forced out of the garden. That is why you see all of the wickedness in the world. In our eating of the forbidden fruit we took our lives away from God and gave ourselves over to the devil.
God can act on our behalf, but this is Satan's world we are living in. We gave our lives and this world over to Satan.
It is time we take it back! Give your life back to God. The only way to do that is to acknowledge Jesus as your Lord and saviour. He will act for your betterment. Mind you, He will not lock all evil from you. But He will teach you to deal with the repurcussions from evil.
We must keep our faith strong!! Because without it we are only going to hell.
To answer your question: The badness in the world is a result of Satan's influence on those who don't believe in Jesus.

Pray. Everything that occurs in this world is under observation and control of our creator. When you see chaos all around you and the increase in suffering that is an indication for more faith..not less. We are told in Matt 24 what to expect when the end times were approaching...all through the Bible we are warned that God's mercy would carry us through only until the Gospel reaches those previously unreached..but as the nations are left in its wake as its sweeps the globe...God is there with the individual but that nation is no longer blessed but falls under the curse. Its not going to get better...it will only worsen and worsen. Still, you may be free to Hope. Because your hope is not substantiated by a promise of the future of this life or of this earth but can only be found in the Blood of Jesus Christ as He died and made all things new. This earth will pass away..but His Word never will. So take refuge in that...put that armour on and you will understand why we are told to pray..."thy Kingdom come..they will be done.." Our hope, our promise and our faith is in the resurrection and life eternal with a God on a new earth. As beautiful as this ravaged planet is...think toward a heaven and earth that cannot be fully comprehended in its beauty..one where we will walk on a sea of glass, where there will be no sun because of Gods light sending away the darkness and there will be such gentleness as the lion lay down with the lamb. Its all there...in the richness of the Word of God. So pray, my friend and read on...faith comes by hearing the Word of God. Love in Christ, ~J~ <><

Keep the faith sister! In Judges 7, Gideon takes Midian with only 300 men.

The legions may mount against us, but the gates of Hades will not prevail against our Church, no matter what the odds.

I would say just go with the flow. There are things that happen to everyone; and in my opinion, those people who tell you to pray and read the bible all the time are wrong. You can't force anything, particularly faith. It just has to come to you. You're not a bad person if you don't have it, though some would make you think that you are. Also, I'm NOT saying feel free to lose your faith, just don't worry about it so much. We are all taught that God is all-loving, and he doesn't care what you do as long as you live a good life and love.

I don't think this is increasing. The things that are going on now were the same things that were going on thousands of years ago.

In fact, aren't we all bad in some way? Of the ten commandments, I have broken at least 7 of them in my life, as have the other people doing these things. So what is the difference between us? Jesus. He is the atoning sacrifice.

Read the book of Revelations. It is really encouraging to see how Jesus is there for us in the end.
