I am 44 years old. The mother of two, grandmother of one. About 5 years ago I started feeling intimate attraction towards women, I did not act on it. In the last year I find that I am only attracted to women. Does this mean I am a lesbian or am I just totally ticked off at men in general?

So, let's go back in time and address the question - what if there was no Jesus, no crucifixion, no resurrection, no Pentecost, no Pope, no Reformation, NOTHING. The world consisted of the Roman Empire, the Jewish religion ... and the advent of Islam in 622 WITHOUT Jesus as its prophet.

im hispanic and i am currently dating a black man and my mother has a problem with it...she says the problem isn't that she is racist but the rest of my family is(basically my older aunts and uncles and grandparents)..anyway she says if i choose to stay with him i am choosing him over my family because they wont accept me for being with him(im hiding this relationship from the rest of my family) and since hispanic familys tend to be very close this is a huge problem to her...what should i do? i dont even want to date him for much longer because we just dont get along but after him should i consider looking to only date hispanics ?

I was raised catholic but they wouldn't baptise my son because he was born out of wedlock. I still have catholic guilt. I've lived the last 23 years trying to abide by the do unto others rule. I have not attended church in 23 years, but believe that I have a good working relationship with God. I recently read the "Left Behind" series and it has me questioning if my belief is enough to keep me from hell. Are there others out there like me? Any who would like to discuss these issues without preaching?

I'm so fed up with the popular music on the radio. Everything is so prefabricated, vapid and boring...so, I've been wondering if maybe I should just throw my radio in the river, toss it off a watertower or set it on fire, since I'm not sure it'll ever play good songs again...Disagree with me? I have a male friend who is straight or so he claims but wants to try anal himself. He has asked me if I would do him with a strapon and I told him no. I have been in spanish for 2 years in college and although I can read fairly well in spanish (at least get the general idea), I am having a much harder time speaking it. I'm worried that I'll never be able to speak well in the language.
Heres how I rate myspef on of the 4 skills required for communication:
1. reading
2. listening
3. writing
4.speaking

I hate it because I get choked up when trying to speak and have a hard time remembering sentence structure etc well enough to speak it properly.

I ran into my spanish professor in a store the other day and she started talking to me in spanish and I felt so stupid because I couldn't respond that quickly. I don't want to sound stupid.

Reading (and even listening) are easier I guess because the sentences are in perfect form already.

Is this normal for 2nd year spanish students? How long will it take for me to be comfortable speaking in spanish and actually able to speak as well as I can read?

Someone else besides me finally said it. how many are actually paying attention to this?

There are African Americans, Mexican Americans, Asian Americans, Arab Americans, Native Americans, etc. and then there are just Americans.

You pass me on the street and sneer in my direction. You call me "White boy," "Cracker," "Honkey," "Whitey," "Caveman" and that's OK.

But when I call you, ******, Kike, Towelhead, Sand-******, camel Jockey, Beaner, ****, or Chink you call me a racist.

You say that whites commit a lot of violence against you, so why are the ghettos the most dangerous places to live?

You have the United ***** College Fund. You have Martin Luther King Day. You have Black History Month. You have Cesar Chavez Day. You have Yom Hashoah You have Ma'uled Al-Nabi You have the NAACP. You have BET.

If we had WET(White Entertainment Television) we'd be racists. If we had a White Pride Day you would call us racists. If we had White History Month, we'd be racists. If we had any organization for only whites to "advance" our lives, we'd be racists.

We have a Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, a Black Chamber of Commerce, and then we just have the plain Chamber of Commerce. Wonder who pays for that?

If we had a college fund that only gave white students scholarships, you know we'd be racists. There are over 60 openly proclaimed Black Colleges in the US, yet if there were "White colleges" that would be a racist college.

In the Million Man March, you believed that you were marching for your race and rights. If we marched for our race and rights, you would call us racists.

You are proud to be black, brown, yellow and orange, and you're not afraid to announce it. But when we announce our white pride, you call us racists.

You rob us, carjack us, and shoot at us. But, when a white police officer shoots a black gang member or beats up a black drug-dealer running from the law and posing a threat to society, you call him a racist.

I am proud. But, you call me a racist.

Why is it that only whites can be racists?

Religious folks argue that their deity is intelligent, but yet exists outside of time (because time was only created when the deity created the universe).

Well, what kind of intelligence can you describe that doesn't exist in time? Intelligence means the ability to acquire knowledge, to perceive new information and make sense of it, to make decisions, to design, to create and so on. All these things require the passage of time - they all require a 'before', when the thing hasn't happened yet, and an 'after', when it has. Moreover, the only kind of intelligence we know about involves growth, development, acquisition of tools and skills etc., so not only does it require time, it also means change from a state of lesser intelligence to a state of greater intelligence - It doesn't make any sense to imagine intelligence fully formed with no 'infancy', no growth, no development.

How can you explain an intelligence that could exist before there was time or a universe to develop in?
