We both like girls. She is a lesbian and I'm bi. She is African American and I'm caucasion. We have been friends for like a year but lately we have been acting like more than just friends. So how do I ask my friend out on a date without turning her off?

If you have already been friends for a while it should be a little easer. Envite her out to movie or coffie and then see where things will take you s next. This way your not lableing it and it shouldn't be too weard. Good luck.......

Invoke all of the power inside of you and just ask! In the long term, it will benefit you to take chances and to learn from either the acceptance or rejection of the question. If you feel towards this girl, let her know and if she rejects, that's fine because you still have the bond of friendship!!! A relationship that starts off as a friendship can lead to a fulfilling romantic relationship, so don't sell yourself short!! Good luck and best wishes!!!

If you are both acting more than just friends, I don't think she will turn herself off. Just ask her out, (the cinema/shopping/something fun). I am sure this doesn't sounds strange to her. have fun!

Try asking how her feelings about who she likes first, and then let the answers come to you. But be cautious on the way you say that, or you may give yourself away.

Ask her if she ever considered going out with women or dating women. If she is honest and says yes, ask her out. If she says no, then you'll know that she isn't into you.
