My boss and his wife are having a cookout to celebrate a coworker's upcoming wedding. There will be a total of 4 couples there. I am in no way close to any of these people but feel like I am obligated to go because of work and the small number of guests. Do I have to get the engaged couple a gift? I don't really want to. Also, should I bring a hostess gift? I have been told I don't need to bring anything but I took that to mean food or whatnot. Tell me what you would do.

If so, which of the many versions is the actual factual one? And what about the Bible makes it factual if other ancient texts are not (Koran, Talmud, apocrypha, Torah)? How do you explain the creation and flood stories that predate the Bible, yet are different than the Bible?

Practically (but not all) every other religion has fought wars in the name of their belief, but I can't think of one involving Buddhism. I know there has been Buddhist warrior monks but no acuall all out wars. Am I right or is there a war I'm missing.

all of you say that you will die,be burried and become one with this earth..but i belive im going to heavon...but i hope you all do become one with this earth and become a tree and do your thing...and then a big scary man comes with an axe and chops you down and takes you to a saw mill and makes paper out of you and then once you are paper...they print the bible on you!!!
