None what so ever, Buddhism teached compassion, loving kindness and Buddhists' first precept is to refrain from killing.
Buddhists' also never force preach non believers to become Buddhists. No war was needed to spread Buddhism. Buddhism spread on accord of its' loving and kind nature. Our Lord Buddha spread Buddhism by compassion and kindness as shown by Lord Buddha's turning of Angulimala from a killer bandit to a monk who later attained Arahantship.(A form of Enlightenment).
Even the Dalai Lama encouraged the many many Americans who wanted to convert to Buddhism not to do so out of curiosity or blind faith but first "experience and learn" about Buddhism, if it really suits you, then you may follow the teachings of the Buddha as a Buddhist.
Totally different are the evangelistic, arrogant and forceful nature of christians and moslems alike who try their very best to convert non believers of their faith. They wage wars to spread their beliefs, they use bribery to spread their believes.

Some scholars believe that the Kalinga War of the Indian King Ashoka was fought to spread Buddhism. Others believe the carnage of the war was what made Ashoka become Buddhist. So that's one possibility of a Buddhist war. There was also the war in Sri Lanka by the Buddhist majority against the Tamil minority that started in the 1980s. I'm sure there are others in South and South East Asia.

The Sri lankan civil conflict replaced into began between Buddhist singhalese human beings and Hindu Tamil human beings, despite if the main considerable reason replaced into oppression and sick scientific care, the religious adjustments ( even inspite of the incontrovertible fact that Hinduism and buddhism are very comparable ) could have in all probability performed a evaluate stirring rigidity and antagonism between the to events. inspite of the incontrovertible fact that, they werent quite scuffling with interior the 'call of buddha,' i think of for somebody to do this they can't call themselves a Buddhist as between the main considerable ideals in Buddhism is non-violence.

Yes you are right.
Buddhists do not kill people, and have never created, or been involved in a war.
Thailand, for example, avoided WW2 when the American diplomat forgot to deliver a letter giving support to the Americans.
Very clevber these Buddhists.

not that i know of. but right now there is the ethnic cleansing that is going on in tibet, conducted by the chinese gov. the dalai lama is basically now exiled from his home country, while the chinese gov is slowly getting rid of buddhists and those who support the dalai lama, since without its "leader" the country doesnt have much. its a really sad situation.
