I want to believe that if I could travel back in time far enough, I could witness the Big Bang.

What do you want to witness? What do you want to believe?

NOTICE: notice the word "tales" at the end.

Quran Ch6
[25] And of them there are some who listen to you; but We have set veils on their hearts, so they understand it not, and deafness in their ears; and even if they see every one of the Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) they will not believe therein; to the point that when they come to you to argue with you, the disbelievers say: "These are nothing but tales of the men of old."

Quran ch8
[31] And when Our Verses (of the Qur'ân) are recited to them, they say: "We have heard this (the Qur'ân); if we wish we can say the like of this. This is nothing but the tales of the ancients."

Quran ch23
[83] "Verily, this we have been promised - we and our fathers before (us)! This is only the tales of the ancients!"

Dear non believing in God. why denying God and u r well aware that some power bring you into this life, from death into life, this is ur God, worship Him alone.

Does this god got any teeth we should fear? Any reason we should obey him if he's so willing to forgive us whenever we ignore scripture? We can call anyone and everyone "fool" and never get the hellfire because we always apologize to god (lord knows none of the christians who called me fool have bothered to apologize to me)?

What a convenient god the christians worship.

Hey, well Halloween is right around the corner and a couple of friends and I want to make a Green Lantern costume for myself, but we have no idea how to go about it. I did some Googling, and found this costume that I like a lot:

I watched this show saying that Dickie boy Cheney has wanted to get back executive powers that he believed were lost during the Nixon admin.

I don't get it.

Since he is on his last time in office just like Bushy boy, who is he trying to help?

Is he preparing executive power for the anti-christ to come?

I have heard so many religious types say that I shouldn't question God's "wisdom" or try to second guess his decisions as to whether I should be a male or a female. They say that "God made you a man and you will always be one".

Well, in my case I was born with extremely underdeveloped parts "down there". And the gonads I have don't make any testosterone- zip. zilch. nada.

I have had blood tests to determine my serum testosterone levels and they were undetectable, (>20) even before I started taking female hormones.

I am a rarity. most MtF transsexuals I know have had to endure the horrifying effects of masculinization under the effects of testosterone.

My question is this- if you had a tumor and it could be removed safely, would doing so contravene God's Will? Would that also be seen as questioning His wisdom or second guessing Him?

Or does a sex change count as a special case, and not acceptable and removing a tumor is acceptable?

The bible was written By men. And taken care of by me. and the cathlic church still doesn't wont women in any powerful places in the church. What does that tell us. I think Guys are just afraid of god not being a guy. And the angel thing. Only like three to four angels where mentioned in the bible. But if all the things in heaven are male then where did women come from. If nothing looked like a woman.

Here's a good definition:
"A humanist philosophy that upholds reason, ethics, and justice and specifically rejects rituals and ceremonies as a means to affirm a life stance."

To me this sounds like a great philosophy to live by, yet I see time and again how it is basically called evil by theists. Do you find it to be worse than another theistic religion that isn't your own? If you see it as dangerous and wrong, is the sole reason its lack of spirituality?

And here's the second part of my question. If you're a Christian and in your state are only 2 people running for Senate... one is a Secular Humanist who has a great public record with no skeletons in their closet, and the other is an avowed Christian who is currently the subject of many major scandals. Which one of these two would you vote for, and why?
