About sex changes- the religious types say I shouldn't question God's "wisdom", but-?

I have heard so many religious types say that I shouldn't question God's "wisdom" or try to second guess his decisions as to whether I should be a male or a female. They say that "God made you a man and you will always be one".

Well, in my case I was born with extremely underdeveloped parts "down there". And the gonads I have don't make any testosterone- zip. zilch. nada.

I have had blood tests to determine my serum testosterone levels and they were undetectable, (>20) even before I started taking female hormones.

I am a rarity. most MtF transsexuals I know have had to endure the horrifying effects of masculinization under the effects of testosterone.

My question is this- if you had a tumor and it could be removed safely, would doing so contravene God's Will? Would that also be seen as questioning His wisdom or second guessing Him?

Or does a sex change count as a special case, and not acceptable and removing a tumor is acceptable?

God made Adam and Eve and gave them the ability to "procreate" or give birth to new life. Adam and Eve both sinned and passed that along to their inheritors, thus we are born "imperfect." God no longer "creates" human life, we create it ourselves through sex. The last human God created was Christ Jesus and that was 2,000 years ago. So, no, God did NOT make you that way and while "he" didn't make a mistake, possibly nature did.

What do I mean? Easy. Sometimes during the first 3-4 days of gestation, male and female twins can become "entwined" with one "swallowing" the other egg. This is CALLED A CHIMERA. It can only happen during the first few days of conception because after that, the eggs are different enough in development that they would become "cojoined or siamese twins." So, some people who start out with male-female twins and one or the other "entraps" the other are born "Intersexed" or an hermaphrodite. The only way to tell is to take DNA samples from "through out the entire body trying to locate where the male begins and the female begins." This is not as rare as once thought. In African-American children it can show up as a checkerboard pattern on their bodies as if two people with different skin tones were mixed together like a patch work quilt. It can be quite beautiful. I mean no disrespect in that.

If the two twins were male/male the Chimera is nearly impossible to discover and the same for female/female. However, there have been cases where one mother had her children taken away from her for two years by the state of Texas because they thought she had "borrowed the children to get on welfare." They proved that the "parents could ONLY be the father and his brother." Yes, the father and his brother, as the Mother had NO genetic material in her children. This was also a hour long show on the Discovery Channel.

However, you probably are not chimeric. While the Father is the one who donates the sex of the egg (XY or XX) sometimes during the first few months of a childs development in the womb they can be thrown into a "harsh hormonal wash" of the opposite sexual type. Such as a female (XX) being given a testosterone/androgenic hormone bath over a week or even more, thus changing the sex (externally) of the child. So while the child is genetically female, it is externally male. Kind of hard to get the head around. And of course you can have the opposite. You can have XY Males with the External look of a Female, even to the ovaries and womb. It all depends on the environment inside the mother's womb.

lol, this is why I always say, "there are as many kinds of sexuality as there are people on the planet." Because you never know. What if the big butch man sitting next to you is an XX Male? or the feminine woman an XY Female?

Until you do the DNA you just don't know.

seems like you value your religion so I'll tell you this, the OT verse that says something like God's thoughts are higher than ours means absolutely nothing about not questioning God's wisdom. If you read what King David, Jeremiah and Jacob wrote in the bible, you will see that God encourages you to question Him in whatever ways coz these men did! If God didn't, he would have strike these men down on the spot for what they've said.
So question God with all your might.

I believe though not certain that it is ok to change your gender. God did not say it isn't unless he gave you a sign or lead you to something that is overwhelming evident that you should remain as you are.

It is like having corrective laser surgery if you are born with myopia (short sightedness).

Personally, I don't believe that having a sex change is against God's will. No loving God would want us to be miserable and feel trapped in the wrong body, or misunderstood by everyone we meet. God is love, not bigotry.

However, before you take a step like that you should make sure it's something you want to do. Unless you identify more with the opposite sex and would prefer that people thought of you that way, I'd advise against it.

No, sex changes are a way of correcting biological and chemical errors.
These happen all the time.

ONLY you know what God has made in you and I believe He's made you a female in your heart...regardless of what your outside appearance may be.
People are sometimes born with both gender sexual organs. When the parents Decide for the child before the child can voice his/her opinion, is that questioning God's will?
Is taking medication of illness questioning God's will?
Is forcing yourself to like something because your peers tell you you should like it even when you don't, is that Questioning God's will?
Is it questioning God's will to wear clothing, drive a car or fly in an aeroplane? Is it questioning God's will to communicate with strangers over a digital device? Is it questioning God's will to live in a house or go to school? Is it questioning God's will to chemically change your hair color or wear colored lenses on your eyes? Is it questioning God's will to wear corrective glasses, hearing aids or read Brail? It is questioning God's will to eat processed foods, clip your finger nails, fashion anything out of non-natural fibers? Is it questioning God's will to explore space or deep sea dive?

No, of course not. But not one of the things I listed are naturally occuring without our ability to learn and utilize free will!

So, since you know in your heart you are female inside, that's not Questioning God's will either.
We have the technology and the science to correct what goes wrong. We have the technology and science to make our lives better and longer. To shelter ourselves, clothe ourselves, communicate with other humans across vast distances.
These are things God gave us the BRAINS to discover!

It would be a slap in God's face to NOT use our brains, to not question the world around us, to not explore or learn.
Since Adam and Eve our goal as humans has been to learn about the world we share. To make our lives and the lives of others better.
To simply give up and give in to those who do not understand, is to give in to pure evil.

Ohhhh, I am really sorry for you, and don't think you would be judged by God (who I believe by the way never judges, and is the only one who has the right to) so don't listen to what other people say, but listen to your heart. As souls we are both male and female, sometimes we come as a man, sometimes as a woman, in your case, I guess your soul did not know how to come back, so whatever feels right to your heart ( and soul ) is what you should follow.

You need to stop using the word "religious" as if it was synonymous with "fundamentalist Christian". A truly religious Pagan would tell you that so you harm none, you can do what you will. It's your body, guy, and your life, live it in the way that works best for you.
