Our neighbor says she has very sensitive ears, and my BF's music is too loud. Her daughter came to our door and got quite nasty with my BF. He really dosent play it that loud. He also does not want to use headphones all the time. We are not breaking local or association regulations, but I do not want more problems with neighbors than I have already had(dog problems with another neighbor) Moving is not an option.

If not, and you tend to find yourself constantly denouncing others that have studied the Bible, but do not answer every question they're asked the same way you do, how can you be so sure that your understanding is any better than theirs?

This is almost as simple as a yes or no question. There is no rant. This isn't an opportunity for you to say how perfect GOD is. Why would I be mad? This isn't about me. This is all you, Bubba. It's a damn good question. It gets down into the nitty gritty. It obviously doesn't apply to everybody, because, obviously not all Christians denounce every single person that has a different understanding of the Bible than they do.

So, why did I get all of those strange remarks when I asked this question last? Why did all those guys that didn't qualify answer? Why can't those that DO apply answer, admit they were wrong, and change their ways?

If you don't qualify, don't answer. If you DO qualify, but you're all mad now, keep it to yourself.

Matthew 10:38-39" And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it." ( Those who have given up EVERYTHING in this carnal life and who serve God to the fullest of their being. Is that you?)

(I'll try to come up with good ones!!!)
1. "If you're not failing every now and again, it's a sign you're not doing anything very innovative."
2. " In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing. The worst thing you can do is nothing. "
3. "Bad men cannot make good citizens. It is impossible that a nation of infidels or idolaters should be a nation of free men. It is when a people forget God that tyrants forge their chains. A vitiated state of morals, a corrupted public conscience, are incompatible with freedom."
4. "When I was fourteen years old, I was amazed at how unintelligent my father was. By the time I turned twenty-one, I was astounded how much he had learned in the last seven years."
5."It usually takes more than three weeks to prepare a good impromptu speech."
6."Let us so live that when we come to die even the undertaker will be sorry."

True story, I'm Jesus Christ (I go by J.C though) reborn again. God talks to me all the time, and I perform miracles for 12 of my close friends frequently, in fact just the other day I pulled a rabbit out of a hat, and put a cigarette through a coin!
Anyways I was wondering what you think I should do now? Take on the anti-christ? Kick off the rapture? Or plunge all of the heathen non-believers into a lake of fire for eternity?

Why would any thing negative or bad or intolerent said about the islamic faith should not be considered an insult, but a form of freedom of speech, while any negative comment against jewish people is a form of anti semitic behaviour? Why would calling the prophet of islam a pig or an evil person and calling muslims sub human and making drawings about that in magazines and announcements about such things made by important and well respected religious figures like the pop is to be considered normal and an example of freedom and deservant of no reaction from the muslims, while a comment made by an actor(e.g. gibson) while drunk about the jews is considered an example of hatered and anti semitism and unacceptable behaviour?
Why isnist, for several hundereds of years that the jews are the source of all evil, the killers of the christ , and now the same hate is directed to muslims .
If christians are the more civilized, more mature and less violent, why then all this intolerence???

I am considering getting a roommate, but I was concerned about how to fairly divide the cost of toilet paper.

How can I politely ask possible roommates how many squares of bathroom tissue they use so that I can calculate how much each of us should pay for this item? I know how many I use; so, I just need to find out how much he or she uses.

I noticed over the years that a lot of commercials aimed at women have the rejecting theme, where the guy gets burned. That's probably one of the big reasons why so many men are afraid to ask women out ... we see these commercials too. Is there some sort of psychology being used by the marketing departments of these companies? Some people boost their self-confidence by focusing on those that have accepted them, but others do the opposite: they build a pseudo self esteem by focusing on the number of people that they managed to reject or exclude. Is the latter more common among women? I realize that many women aren't like this, but some clearly are. Any thoughts?

The Bible is specific that it only rained for 40 days and nights. Although it says the mountains were covered, is specifies the height of the water as 15 cubits, or about 27 ½ feet. This suggests that it rained on average about 1/3 inch per hour, or 8 inches per day for 40 days to increase the water by 27 ½ feet over the world, or in a local valley. If it had been a Global event, then it could be found in archeology, glacier samples, historical records, the life and death of species and many other methods. Physically, it has not been discovered.

First test: If the story of the global flood were not in the Bible, would it change my faith? No, it wouldn’t.

Second test: Does the effort to convince people that the story of a global flood is true, by faith, cause them to disdain faith in God? Yes, in many cases it does.

Then, it is an issue of faith, and should be taught that way, not as a fact.

I feel so close to God whenever I hear the reasons for not believing. Its like hearing a debate on the chicken or the egg or if electricity is real when you can't see it. I would rather enjoy eating chickens, eggs and see all the incredible thing I can build with electricity instead of arguing about how or why.
