The sabbath observance requirement ended with the death of Jesus.
Christians are not required to observe the sabbath, along with almost all the the Mosiac Law.

Col 2:16 Therefore let no one pass judgment on you in questions of food and drink, or with regard to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath.
Col 2:17 These are a shadow of the things to come, but the substance belongs to Christ.

i dont know that there are any verses that support what you're saying. the jewish sabbath comes from the time of creation, when God rested on the 7th day, im sure if you talked to a 7th Day Adventist, they might be able to help you a little more on that one. but to be honest, is it really something worth debating? my experience with questions like this is that it ends up distracting people from what's really important- worshipping God. these are the things that divide churchs and create conflict, usually because someone thinks they're being "more holy". if God convicts you to worship on saturday, in the tradition of the Jewish sabbath, than by all means do it.
