Matthew 10:38-39" And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it." ( Those who have given up EVERYTHING in this carnal life and who serve God to the fullest of their being. Is that you?)

Those what have been baptized in Jesus' Name and filled with the Holy Ghost.

You also need to separate from the world.

2Co 6:17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
2Co 6:18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

I've given up a lot of things, but not all yet.

Christianity is not an easy religion to practice!

Oh, and don't forget, Jesus also said "sell all you own and buy a sword."

Jesus did expect you to keep your shoes. And your clothes. You are supposed to go out into the world with nothing in your pocket, the sword at your side and the shoes on your feet.

You give up your coat and your cloak when asked for it.

When asked to carry packs 5 miles you carry them 10 miles.

When struck you turn the other cheek.

When scorned at a door, you turn, wipe the dust off your feet and move on to the next place.

If viciously assaulted, you draw your sword if required, hold your own, try and do as little damage as possible and retreat.

Jesus does not expect you to be a whipping post nor a martyr. Dead people don't spread the word.

Join with others in following my example, brothers, and take note of those who live according to the pattern we gave you.... But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ,

Those that take up the cross and follow Him have charity and apply faith to life and faith to actions.

Their faith is not separated from good intentions, good works and honest dealings of all kinds.

Brother, If you accept Jesus into your heart. You are a true follower. No one said you will be perfect or sin free. Just accept Jesus into your heart, and see what happens. You may be surprised!
