Im hoping a Muslim can respond to my question.
I know and understand that you call your religion a religion of peace.
However, as an outsider, I see violence and hatred - such as over the things the Pope said. While I understand that what he said can be offensive to you, how do you purport to show the world your tolerance and peacefulness by rioting in the streets and calling for infidels to be beheaded?
What does you religion REALLY teach about converting those that do not beleive?
Is Islam/the muslim religion truly non-violent, and these rioters are a minority (although there sure are many of them for it being an minority...)

I truly am curious. I am not a Christian...I am atheist. Thanks for your reponses.

Seriously. I am sure these folks have good intentions, but when I say, "no thank you" I am not interested...they keep talking.. It has gotten to the point I wait for them to pass before I go out to my car. Why do they do this?

Jesus is neither white or Black... He is middle eastern color.

Now, to those of you who look at an israeli today and say, well, Israelis are white so Jesus is white. I should refer you to the encyclopedia and please reference the word ZIONISM. The zionist movement was formed around 1890 to take back the promised land of the Jews. Almost 90% of Jews today are of European decent.

So when you try to say Jesus is white: get educated
When you try to say Jesus is black: get educated

I ask this as some-one who is spiritual but does not follow any organised religion. I love living in the Western world and enjoy the life it gives me. However I am baffled as to why so many Americans claim to be "Christian" (compared to other western countries) when its whole philosophy is greed and glutony. This is not an anti American question, I love the country and it is not really any more at fault than other western countries. But how can a country claim to be "Christian" when its actions are the opposite. For example would Jesus have bombed Iraq?

When I was visiting the zoo last weekend, a voluptuous young woman approached me and said brazenly: "How do you like my 'hooters'?" After close scrutiny, I replyed that I thought they were very, very nice and went on in detail about how they looked even going as far as to make mention of her undergarments. For starters I'll say that I am Christian and it dominates my view of the world.

That being said. Do you think Christians and Atheist are being frustrated on this site over the same thing? I've read through a lot of posts on evolution and the prevailing frustration is that Christians have a lack of knowledge and understanding of the theory. I then go and read about Atheist trying to give their two centts about the Bible and I get frustrated because of their ignorance and misunderstanding.

Can we both agree that each side has blinded themselves to their respective topics? Is non-biased examination of any subject really possible? I would submitt that bias influences everything said on this forum and is the root cause to all the frustration and misunderstanding.

So it really comes down to a choice. You can either choose to see things one way or the other. Either way you will find reason to support your position.

that when a cop gets killed the effort that goes into finding their killer when if you or I were killed the cops would barely lift a finger?
It's not that they were drafted into being cops, it was a choice they made. We didn't ask them to be cops. Why should they get special treatment?
