I would say if after you spend a little time in that church, you feel like they are going the same direction God wants you to be going in more than they are not then yes. Most importantly I think it would be good to make a list of ALL of the things that you can think of that you believe God would want for you in a church and maybe visit four or five churches and keep score on them with your little list. Consider it sort of a fleece for God to confirm.

It depends on how important the church itself is to you. If you find that you don't agree with other congregation members about some particular points or find the way they live their lives to be hypocritical, well, it's up to you whether you want to just ignore those people or find a new church. But if it's what is being taught as official church doctrine that bothers you, you might find that worshiping on your own in your own way is better for you.

Find a good bible based church which has only 100% truth based on the Bible. Try the Living Church of God.
