that when a cop gets killed the effort that goes into finding their killer when if you or I were killed the cops would barely lift a finger?
It's not that they were drafted into being cops, it was a choice they made. We didn't ask them to be cops. Why should they get special treatment?

These are my sources: my dad was a cop, three of my best friends in high school became cops, I've been well aquainted with another handful of cops including the police captain in my town. I even read the papers and policeone.com. I doubt that there's too much you can tell me that will top my "sources".

If you think for a moment that they expend the same energy why did they chase Donny Young's killer from Colorado to California and then to Mexico, and then go through the State Department to have him extradited? They wouldn't have done that for you...unless you're a cop.

It's also scary when the police are a bigger threat than the criminals. Remember the wolf in sheep's clothing story?

It is scary when the people your are trying to protect are the ones you have to be the most afraid of. He was just doing his job. Yes he knows the dangers, so I don't think it is wrong for the men in blue to get a cop killer off the street. If you will kill a cop you will kill anyone

I don't think its a matter of special treatment, as they are the front page of the "police institution" anything that threats the image of that institution, needs to be silenced... I think that's good, because, if people notice that they can do anything with cops or whatever authority, they will insurrect against them... I think...

I happen to agree with you but the cops and the DA's want to make examples out of those who kill the cops

It depends on how accurate the leads are. You're saying that police officers give special treatment to other officers. This is far from the truth, as I have family members that are officers and they treat everyone the same. Check your sources.
