How does one develop maturity? I think it's through life experiences and learning how to get through difficult times. So how can one get mature when they don't have any really bad things happen to them? If someone has a pretty easy, some would even say sheltered life, how can that person develop maturity, especially in a relationship?

I want to teach myself either Italian or Hebrew. I want to learn Italian because I myself am Italian. I'd also like to learn Hebrew because I think it is an interesting language and it sounds beautiful to me. How easy is Italian to learn? What about Hebrew? Which one is easier to learn? I had a violation notice because I tried to help someone, and the system wouldn't allow me to reply to their e-mail.So I tried putting a response in the form of a question, hoping the person would find it, and that it might be useful, or at least show I'm not pig ignorant. This was classified as 'chat', and I got the violation notice. Well I enjoy a good row, so I replied, explaining my motives. I have now had a standard, threatening letter from them, the threat being the closure of my account. Why? presumably because I had the temerity to challenge them. So, do you ever get a reply identifiably from a human, or do they always hide behind their system?

At my university, there is a program that assists foreign students in learning and speaking English. This program is always looking for volunteers, so I decided to join and help out. Besides, I've always enjoyed meeting new people from far off lands, sharing stories about the differences of our cultures.

Anyway, I was paired up with a young, Chinese woman who needed to work on her conversational English. I taught her a couple of useful phrases, like: "Sucky, sucky. Five Dollar" and "Me so horny, me love you long time". She's a quick learner and got the phrases down pat pretty quick.

Yet, when the program director found out about this, she was livid. She threatened to have me expelled and I was immediately removed from this English-speaking program. Interesting thing is that when the Chinese girl found out what the phrases meant, she thought they were funny. Why is everyone else so up tight?

Someone posted a while back, that he is a black man who dates white women, but he doesn't hate his race, he just finds white women more attractive. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that a contradiction? Preference always has a historical reference(Prejudice against own race/gender). Help me out here.

Science has also explained phenomena that religion has never contemplated or imagined.
What so "miraculous" about religion? While I use science every minute of my day, religion is nowhere in my daily world. If I have a question about life ,the universe, and everything, science answers, not religion.
