I have seen multiple questions today regarding the belief in miracles. Where does a believer draw the line between coincidence and miracle? Is it so hard to imagine that line not existing and everything being a coincidence to non-believers?

Are you easily offended by those who do not share the same beliefs as you?
FYI: I do not take offense like some others do and get ugly.

I have a friend who is from Sweden and speaks fluent Swedish (her native language along with English). One day at school, I had opened someones history book to a page with some German on it and she could understand it. She was telling me how it looks like the Swedish word just a letter or two off. I was wondering if Swedes could understand a German if they were to come to Sweden or can they only read it? Is it possible that that word could have just happened to be a word almost the same because it was borrowed from German or something. I am aware that both languages are Germanic languages and some words do look really similar to me (for example Natt and Nacht, Bok and Buch, Tag and Dag). When I hear Swedish spoken, it just sounds like a softer version of german. Oh, I also wanted to know which Scandinavian language should I learn. I'm thinking of Norwegian but I'm not sure.

why the pronunciation of ''oo'' in the word "blood" is different from the one in the words "wood" or "wool"?

It is difficult for me to learn the correct pronunciation in English. It seems there is no rules. Is it true? If there are rules, please teach me!

Acting on the assumption that the media moguls want to 'spin' almost everything important in the news, it is possible to come to a version of events that may be accurate.

Here is Verse 22 of Chapter 5 of the Gospel According to St. Matthew, in the translation commissioned by King James:

"But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire."

I've noticed on this website Christians have a great penchant for calling anyone who disagrees with Christian 'teachings' a fool or an idiot. This is as much as to say, "We have all the answers and no one else knows anything. Not only do we have the rules for governing our own lives, but we have the rules that everyone else must also obey. There is no debate on any issue, because we know everything, and no one has any relationship with us unless it is to gain the infinite wisdom we alone can dispense."
