I'd love to answer but I've never seen proof that either are anything more than literary characters created to explain things for which human beings can't or won't accept responsibility.
Unless you're a sociopath, you know in your heart what is right and what is wrong; listen to *that* voice.

God speaks softly. If you are hard of hearing, you can sometimes miss the message. The devil barks at you like some high pressure salesperson. He tends to lure you with all sorts of "baits" and "hides" the dangers from you e.g "speed is good, you can get a high (does not tell you what the high means)". Listen carefully and take heed! God Bless!

Well, that's the trick, isn't it?
I really don't think God told you to kill everyone in the house, right?
And why wouldn't the devil talk to us, to tempt and mislead? We really have no honest way of knowing and seeing what God asked of folks in the OT, some requests do not seem that out of
step.
What if you press a cross into his hand? Won't it burn the devil?

Good question. One of the ways to check out the informations u got from the inner worlds is by asking yourself this questions - Is it true & kind, love builds but devil destroys, Is it effecting another person's state of freedom... A woman woke up from sleep one day & forced a small cross into her only son's mouth to swallow it. The child swallowed it & died. she explained to the police that she was asked to do so because the child was going to become a millonaire.

One of the Bible's most comforting truths is that God wants to guide us. He loves us, and He knows what is best for us—and because of this, He wants to show us His will. The Bible says, "In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:6).
But you're right: Sometimes the devil also tries to guide us, and we have to be careful we don't follow him instead of God when we need to make a decision. How can you keep this from happening, and be sure God is guiding you? Let me suggest three steps:
First, make sure of your relationship with Jesus Christ. Have you confessed your sins to Him and asked Him to come into your life as your Lord and Savior? If you haven't done this, or if you are unsure of your salvation, turn by faith to Him and ask Him to come into your life today.
Then pray and ask God to guide you in this decision. Often, we want to tell God what we want Him to do—but ask Him to help you guard against this, and to seek His will instead of your own. We must be willing to do His will, whatever it is.
In addition, search His Word, the Bible, for guidance; God never guides us to do anything that is contrary to His Word. Seek also the advice of people who can help you—people who know God and have spiritual discernment. When we truly seek God's will in this way, He has promised to guide us.

If the voice lines up with the Bible, it is from God.
Also if you could picture Jesus doing what the voice is saying, it is probably from God.
Satan will try to condemn you, make you feel bad about yourself, and drag you down. Also Satan is generally general "you are bad" instead of "that one specific thing that you did was bad"

Well, the voice of God isn't used anymore. He just "shows" you the way and gives you common sense methods to see things. If you can't see or follow those, hearing him wouldn't help anyways.

Ooh scary again...just as well as an atheist I don't believe in either nor hear voices and so I am therefore protected from both.
Atheism it's the only way to go and the only way to get a firm footing in reality.

God's voice is often harder to hear because Truth doesn't scream in your ear. The path of least resistance is often Satan. The ultimate test is the voice's harmony with Scripture.

If you are hearing lots of voices giving you all kinds of different ideas... right down what each one is saying on little pieces of paper... then say a prayer and ask God for the guidance you need and draw one.
That is the paper of God.
