I heard that brainwashing took on a negative connotation during the Vietnam War. So it's not all bad. I think that the positive type of brainwashing has been renamed to an Attitude Adjustment.

I'm a Protestant. And I have my grievances towards Roman Catholic Doctrine. They get a lot wrong, and I don't care how big they are, they are just plain wrong scripturally.

The type of brainwashing they get is sometimes referred to as "dinning in", in the sense of that word:
To instill by wearying repetition.

The example in the dictionary : dinned the Latin conjugations into the students' heads.

So the brainwashing in itself isn't bad. It's a technique in learning. What's being learned can be bad. And in this case it's bad, it's learned with rigorous training, and it's difficult for the student to break the habit of the errant lesson.

It's good to know that not all of us agree with their doctrine, and have escaped the training of errant doctrine.

It's that there are plenty of annoying people out there, and when one is told to calm down the others start up. Isn't it all an annoying competition for attention, and the winner is told to calm down only for the losers to be able to act up?

she walked up to the tall dark door and hesitated. this was all too familular, this number on the outside of the building had to be wrong, she had been here so many time before. confused, she rang the bell anyway.
still, the air was still, no sounds echoing, no signs of life in sight.
the door slowley opened, boxes near the foot of the stairs at the entry, full of toys and make up. a scarf and airline tickets wait on the top of the rail.
"your back!" what? "Your back ,watch your back!",
I leaned into the door, pushing it all the way open with my shoulder to avoid the camerea behind me. suddenly, out of the bushes, a dog bounds toward me. what have I walked into?

I am serious.

I became Muslim as a result of a statement by my pastor, which led me to study the Quran. According to Christians, is he held accountable for my departure from the Church?

"No innocents", except Socrates, Aristotle, Gandhi, Buddha, Confucious, Lao Tzu...

...Dalai Lama...

...six million Jews from the Holocaust...

...Hippocrates (you know, the guy who wrote the Hippocratic Oath that every doctor takes to perform medicine)...

...the victims of Tianemen Square (sp?)...

...Africans who died on Christian slave ships while being transported from their homeland to Washington...

...Muslim women and children who sought refuge in Jerusalem's Holy Sepulchre when the Crusaders took Jerusalem...

Why are these not considered "innocents in hell"?

I started Monday night and I will be attending every Monday night from 6pm-9pm. This will last untill end of May. I was told that this study of the book of Romans is life changing. Are there experience Christians that know this wonderful book in the bible and can tell me what I can expect to learn and get from the study. People tell me, I will get closer to God. That is my greatest desire to love God more and get closer to Him. Please keep your answeres involved with your Christian experience with what Romans did for you. Thank you and God Bless all. with love.<3

Quote your favorite Bible contradiction. Answer only if you really have a contradiction to quote. Here is mine.----Jeremiah 32:27
Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for the Lord?-------------------------------------------------- Judges 1:19 and the Lord was with Judah; and he drave out the inhabitants of the mountain; but could not drive out the inhabitants of the valley, because they had chariots of iron.
