I am in High school, an I went to church last week, and the sermon was on witnessing to other people, and how we pass-up so many people who need/want to fing God. My friend is strictly atheist, gets amde fun of a lot, and in the 6th grade I was one of the many making fun by singing bible songs to her, and she got really mad. I ended up saying sorry, and we're friends now. Were both in 10th grade now, and I'm afraid that if I try to convert her to Jesus, then she will get really angry and not be friends anymore...I need help with words or whatever to convince her.... I do not want to meke her mad, but I want to help her.

Whenever I pray, I would like to believe God is listening and understanding my deepest concerns and sufferings. This may sound unrealistic but I literally expect God to talk to me somehow by either talking to me in my mind or showing some signs He is indeed paying attention to me.
As you guys who have been reading my posts know, I have a lust problem which is beyond my power to deal with and manage. My mind always says I want to be a man of sexual integrity, but when it comes to the actual battle, my actions go against my beliefs.
I don't know why I became this way despite trying to be a good person. I thought I managed to grow up as a decent person by having resisted all other tempations except porn, masturbation.
How can I communicate with God literally? How can I hear God's voice inside me so I can follow His advice?

I recommended that the church ladies group get together this weekend for some feminine bonding time. Then someone suggested to our club president Lilly Purcell that we should to the the male strip club downtown. She agreed! We all agreed! But then she said that we can't tell anyone, even the pastor or the elders about our little outing.

Is it okay for us to do this and just keep it our little secret as the ladies church group?

For about the last 6 years family friends of mine have been asking me regularly to go to a religious gathering (Alpha). They even went so far as to send out a church member to my father's (atheist) to convert him. Just last week they sent me an email, angry that I wasn't answering the phone (I do work)..had an invitation to "Alpha"..I told them quite frankly that I wasn't "interested"..now they're mad. What's your take on this? Why do some religions try to push their beliefs on others.ENOUGH ALREADY!

justified by the shooter(s) being goth?

I personally cannot, there must have been many reasons as to why he/she/they had a motive to do such a ghastly act that does not equal him being goth. Could have been bullying from the past in schools, being a loner (thinking that no one liked him/her/they), mental illness, etc,....

Also what is your take on the goth community? Do you think they are satanists? I know many who happen to be christian actually, but then again, those people are just into the style.

But being a goth is not about satanism, being evil, suicide, etc,.... I know many who are loving, with beautiful personalities.

I hope this brings some light to those who do not know otherwise.
