You are 35? On-line boyfriends are just 'pretend' boyfriends. They can be anyone, they can lie, be married, anything you can imagine. If all you want to do is talk or harmlessly flirt..no big deal...but TRUST HIM ....No Way. If he wants to meet with you, bring your friends..if he objects, run the other way. Don't be a fool!!!

Well I'm sort of glad for your sake that there was no swapping of digits. You don't want random strangers calling you unless it's abundantly clear from lots of conversation that it's the real thing. Like Tree Hugger said, he probably thought you were 12 based on your level of naivete. That's not an insult, by the way. Lots of gay guys who come out later in life don't exactly know how to "play the game."

Good luck, but don't get your hopes up and don't sound too eager. He's less likely to mess with you that way.

Do not put your feelings into someone that you haven't met in person yet. I know about four so called online long distance couples who live in different states and country. I don't know why they try to be committed to someone they ain't met yet. Your feelings will get hurt and I will tell you that what all those people have in common is loneliness. Just becareful not to put all your emotions into a person online without meeting because people do like to play games with peoples emotions online, I've seen it happen.

Okay,
1) This one might still be a fling.
2) Do you have any reason to trust him?
3) maybe his computer broke down and he couldn't get online...

After 2 hours he is your BF? 35?

Talk to and flirt with men more often without the expectation of ever talking/seeing them again.

I certainly would not trust him.

But you are a grown man of 35 do as you feel is right.

Good Luck with the decision you need to make.

Ummm no, you should not trust him, you don't know him and this is the internet!!! You can't trust someone so quickly especially someone you have met on the net. Most men on the internet pretend to be something they aren't. Don't let your guard down so easily! Good Luck...
