Your definition?

Here is mine...

A friend will come bail you out of jail.

A TRUE friend will be in the cell with you, saying, "damn, that was fun!"

True Friendship

Are you tired of those sissy-*** "friendship" poems that always sound good, but never actually come close to reality? Well, here is a series of promises that actually speak of true friendship:
1. When you are sad -- I will help you get drunk and plot revenge against the sorry bastard who made you sad.
2. When you are blue -- I will try to dislodge
whatever is choking you.
3. When you smile -- I will know you finally got laid.
4. When you are scared -- I will rag on you about it every chance I get.
5. When you are worried -- I will tell you horrible
stories about how much worse it could be until you quit whining.
6. When you are confused -- I will use little words.
7. When you are sick -- Stay the hell away from me until you are well again. I don't want whatever you have.
8. When you fall -- I will point and laugh at your
clumsy ***.
9. This is my oath ... I pledge it to the end. "Why?"you may ask; "because you are my friend".
Send this to 10 of your closest friends, then get
depressed because you can only think of 4.
Remember--A good friend will help you move ... a REALLY good friend will help you move a body --let me know if you ever need me to bring a shovel.
Friendship is like peeing your pants, everyone can see it, but only you can feel the true warmth.

I received this from one of my dearest friends and thought everyone would enjoy it.

Blessings )O(

You have injected the premise of this question as an adjective.

In order to have "true" anything, you must first have truth.

Truth has nothing to do with jail or bail or bullets.

You're probably a member of the local gang, yes?

The way of the gang is ignorance, and a life very shallow indeed.

You can call a true friend at 3am even when she has to work in the morning. Just to come and hand you tissues when you are crying and insult the bum who made you cry.

A true friend may not jump off the cliff with you, but they will definately be there at the bottom to catch you when you fall.

A man had done something terrible...He had to appear in court the next day. He knew he was going to be condemned and face death row.
He had 3 freinds.
The first one offered him his best suit saying: "if you look your best, the judge might lighten your sentence."
THe segond one said: "I'll drive you to court, you can use company and support on your way there..."
The third one said: "Stay here, I'll go instead of you and I will take the sentence upon me."
This last one is how I see Jesus as my freind.

Hmmm... I read once (prolly back in the 1900's) that a "True Friend" is someone that knows all about you ... and STILL likes you!
