I don't think the earth will explode and vanish or anything, but humanity may wipe itself out, especially if anyone decides to play with the big guns. (nukes) Maybe an asteriod will hit us.
I do think something might happen on 12-21-2012, the end of the mayan calendar, but I am not positive what it is. I have had dreams that include seeing the earth surrounded by a red glow, resembling flames or like an aurora borealis. I just have a hunch there will be some kind of "light show" on that date.........
It's not that far off, I will be curious to see if anything happens. I didn't have any feelings like this about the Y2K thing. Just another day.

I sure don't, but every generation has people who are certain it will. People naturally feel like their life is special somehow, and don't like admitting that life will go on without them.
Many Puritans were convinced 1666 was the end of the world. The first millennium, people were just as frightened as we were of Y2K. People thought the Black Plague was the end. Now, people are convinced by Middle East troubles or a misinterpretation of the Mayan calendar that the world is ending. It will be the same for the entire future of mankind, and boy will we be surprised when it happens!

Really? That's interesting. Actually the end of the world will not happen until after the tribulation and after the millennial reign of Christ, which is 1,000 years. I expect to be with the Lord before this.

Not really. The world will end when the sun becomes a red giant and Earth gets pulled into it. Not happening for billions of years.

nicely i'm considered one of Jehovah's witnesses and that i trust that the bible is galvanized by employing God (Jehovah) and that the prophecies about the top of this latest international will come authentic, depending on the reliability of prophecies that were FUFILLED in historic circumstances. in spite of the undeniable fact that the bible shows that Armageddon heavily isn't a nuclear holocaust, in spite of the undeniable fact that it will be a time even as the countries will be accumulated at the same time to salary warfare with God. (Revelation 16: 14, 16). Jesus Christ (God's Son) also informed his disciples what indications to anticipate that could want to enable his followers recognize that they were contained in the perfect days of this latest international gadget (Matthew financial disaster 24) ,yet he informed his followers that with regard to the precise "day and hour no individual knows...yet in basic terms the daddy" (Matthew 24: 36 new international translation of the holy scriptures). So for that reason Jesus informed all those who might want to prefer to live on the top of the international to " save on the watch" (Matthew 24: 40 2 New international Translation of the holy Scriptures) For Jesus "coming" to execute judgement in this latest international yet to maintain those who've obeyed him and observed his direction. So do i trust that existence will end? certain. only in case you God perspectives as unworthy of his approval ,yet not in case you loved him. Do i trust this is going to bring about my lifetime? i'm not positive of the precise date and time yet i recognize that i need to "save on the watch" for even as the top does come. in case you want to entice close extra about God's applications for the destiny and the desire of a sparkling international or to request a loose abode bible study please visit JW.
