Referring to the feiry, eternal torment type of Hell. Seems like overkill to torture somebody through all eternity for disobeying.

For example.

I wake up at 5:30AM. I think about work, what I'll eat and wear. I get off at 5PM. When I make it home, I think about the day...and then I make sure I get my stuff ready for work.

I spend about 16 hours a day away from my family, because my mind is on work, or I'm at work..be it driving there, working there or thinking about it.

Does anyone else think that this is insane?
Shouldn't I be at home with my family?
If all American's are doing this...who is raising our children and what values are they instilling in them...

In 1936 Aleksandr Ivanovich Oparin, in his "The Origin of Life on Earth", demonstrated that organic molecules could be created in an oxygen-less atmosphere, through the action of sunlight. These molecules, he suggested, combine in ever-more complex fashion until they are dissolved into a coacervate droplet. These droplets could then fuse with other droplets and break apart into two replicas of the original. This could be viewed as a primitive form of reproduction and metabolism. Favorable attributes such as increased durability in the structure would survive more often than nonfavorable attributes.

wouldnt this be considered adding to His word? If God were to make a list of the things He didn't want us to do, the Bible would be too big to carry around. It was easier for Him just to say what He wanted and expect His Word to be obeyed. He is perfect; therefore, there is no need to try to improve His perfect plan. Deuteronomy 4:2 You shall not add to the word which I command you , nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.

Alcohol is much more devastating to the body, has more potent side-effects, addiction, and causes much more violence and violent acts (assaults, drunk driving) than marijuana. So why is alcohol perfectly legal while marijuana has a negative connotation to it? I am not an alcoholic or pothead, just studying this issue for a Sociology class....

There's been a number of studies on identical twins and if one is gay then the chances of the other being gay is around 50%. I know this is higher than the normal averages, but if the genes are responsible for homosexuality then it has to be 100% and nothing else. Don't these scientific studies show that homosexuality is due to a combination of genetics and responses to certain trigger events in their lives? So no one can really say they are "born" gay. They can only say that they have a genetic predisposition toward homosexuality. What do you think?

Is it cuz she's African and I'm not African American like the other employees? What the hell? Why does she play favorites like that? Every time I try to talk to her she seems incredibly busy and like she has no time for me. Then the other people can talk to her like nothing the only time we have interaction is when theres a meeting and then she's still too busy. I don't ask for anything but positivity. It makes me want to get a different job.

Does anyone *know* what kind of Church the Irwins' were married in, and whether they adhered to that faith?

Please don't pollute the airwaves with snide remarks just to gain points. If you don't know, then move on to another question. Thank-you.

Once born of God, one cannot abide in sin (make it a comfortable habit) because of the Holy seed in that child of God. I know Christians sin, but just not able to make it a comfortable habit.

This question is directed at anyone...but I primarily would like the response from those who patronize at these stores quite frequently. How is the service?, is the staff knowledgeable and the different products? i.e. Bible, music, apparel etc? What could be different in your opinion? Is there anything that could be done differently, that would lead you to make your Christian purchases at a independent store rather than a Wal-Mart? In other words what would it take for you to leave behind the added convienence and discounts at SECULAR stores to support fellow Christian stores?

In Leviticus 25:44 the Bible says: “Your male and female slaves are to come from the nations around you; from them you may buy slaves. You may also buy some of the temporary residents living among you and members of their clans born in your country, and they will become your property. You can will them to your children as inherited property and can make them slaves for life.” In Exodus 21:20 the Bible says: “If a man beats his male or female slave with a rod and the slave dies as a direct result, he must be punished, but he is not to be punished if the slave gets up after a day or two, since the slave is his property.” Statements like Col. 3:22 and Titus 2:9 in the "New Testament" fully endorse slavery. Slavery is illegal in the United States, as is assault and battery, and the Holy Bible flagrantly disregards these statutes. Slavery is barbaric. A book that condones slavery is highly offensive. So why would the bible advocate slavery when we all know it is morally and ethically wrong?

Political correctness is at it again, the word that you're supposed to use now is "complexion". Personally, I think the word sounds a lot more correct than color and if the word color offends some people, why not use the word complexion.

Ex: The color of someone's skin. Instead of that you're supposed to say: The complexion of someone's skin.
